The EU Innovation Project Consultant will identify and secure new consultancy assignments, grant opportunities, and strategic partnership collaboration in the EU research and innovation industries, working as a team leader. Responsibilities include managing commercial bids, coordinating bid activities, preparing proposals for the European Commission and other institutions, coordinating recruitment, and developing connections with stakeholders. The role requires an innovation manager with experience in proposal preparation, consortium building, and a network in the sector, with a focus on exploitation and impact maximization of EU Security/Defense Applications projects. Excellent communication and team management skills are also required.

If you are an EU Innovation Project Consultant, problem solver with motivation to learn, someone willing to collaborate with different teams across PwC Greece, a good communicator with high emotional intelligence and someone willing to take ownership beyond the obvious, then you are the one!  Due to the continued growth of our practice, we are now looking for an EU Innovation Project Manager, who will work independently and/or as a team leader to identify and secure new consultancy assignments, grant opportunities and strategic partnership collaboration in the EU research and innovation industries. The domains of the team's expertise vary between Health, Digital, IoT, Energy, Renewables, Social Commitment, Defense and Environment.  He/She will be responsible for numerous aspects of the business development namely in the consulting services field, including the coordination/management of the current Framework Contracts.   SOLVE WHAT OTHERS CAN’T.    We’re working for something bigger than ourselves.   • Manage and lead the identification, deployment and development of commercial bids and expressions of interest. 
  • Work closely with all involved project leads, partners and teams to map out adequate bid activities, possible collaborations and partnerships, and set out the timelines for bid proposals.  
  • Refer to the Director for EU Funding and to Senior Project Managers to ensure robust organizational compliance is demonstrated based on clients’ requirements and profile. 
  • Prepare and oversee the entire proposal file for “technical assistance” projects financed by the European Commission (EC) and/or other International/EU Financing Institutions (i.e. World Bank, EIB, EBRD). 
  • Coordinate any recruitment process during the preparation of the relevant proposals/funded projects and supervise the team till the finalization of the tender/Grant proposal. 
  • Establish and develop connections with stakeholders and partners in order to expand the company’s network and further build on new/future customers and collaborators liaisons.

  • Required to have a long experience as an innovation manager with proven track record in proposal preparation and writing coordination, consortium building, established network in this sector, along with experience in exploitation and impact maximization of EU Security/ Defense Applications projects. 
  • Expertise in proposals for FP7, H2020, EDF and Horizon Europe, with verified success in preparing and winning bids. 
  • Insightful knowledge and expertise in matching needs with adequate funding opportunities. 
  • Excellent communication skills, using a range of written and oral techniques to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and motivated to work efficiently to an agreed timeline. 
  • Team management skills and ability to motivate and enable teams with different skill sets to meet deliverables. 
  • Existing network and contacts liaisons with Industry and Academia located in several EU countries; with the ability to identify and mobilize potential partners.
