The Fashion Editor (M/F) is part of the Global Fashion Network team and is responsible for creating, advising, and implementing fashion content for the brand and all its platforms, including print, digital, video, e-commerce, commercial initiatives, and events. They report to the GQ Global Fashion Director and work closely with the Head of Editorial Content of GQ France to coordinate international fashion articles and create exceptional local fashion coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee requests related to ready-to-wear (RTW) and accessories for all GQ France editorial projects.
- Work closely with other stylists and collaborators to meet their needs, integrate brand and designer suggestions, and request looks.
- Proactively contribute ideas for articles on designers/brands in collaboration with GQ France fashion editors.
- Research and propose editorial content ideas for all platforms (e-commerce, print, video, social networks, etc.); potentially participate in photo shoots to provide expertise.
- Work closely with the Head of Editorial Content on the brand's vision for fashion and jewelry/watches.
- Organize and manage all logistics related to fashion and accessories (couriers, shipping labels, insurance, guards, etc.).
- Support brand initiatives in the fashion field as needed. For example: special projects, “Men of the Year” event, Paris Fashion Week.
- Discover new talents in design and stay informed about the latest initiatives from brands and designers.
- Represent the brand at all relevant events and meetings, etc.
- Participate in bi-weekly Global Fashion Network meetings.
- Oversee and manage the workflow and needs of the Assistant Fashion Editor.
- Establish and maintain strong external relationships with executives of all key brands and attend press appointments.
- Develop strategic ideas and collaborate with commercial and financial teams to support clients and brand opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent relationship with PR of major fashion brands
- Excellent knowledge of the fashion industry, designers, brands, and general culture
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
