This position provides solution-oriented consultative training, technical support, and troubleshooting for bioMérieux's diagnostic product lines at customer sites and remotely. The role involves effectively working with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go-live of new instrumentation, retaining business, and collaborating with stakeholders. The position is field-based, supporting the Tampa territory, requiring extensive travel with an average of 50-75% overnight stays. Responsibilities include performing all work in compliance with company policy and the Quality System, coordinating and providing technical training, consultation, and ongoing support to US customers. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, answering inquiries, ensuring regulatory compliance through accurate documentation, and meeting performance indicators are key. Efficient territory management within budget and supporting revenue initiatives are also required.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or life science field
  • 1+ years clinical laboratory experience
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to travel extensively (50-75% overnight stays)
Good to have:
  • bioMérieux product experience
  • ASCP or MLT certifications
  • Clinical Microbiology experience
  • LIS or connectivity/networking experience
  • Experience with CLIA regulations
  • Experience with technical field applications support
  • Experience with Vitek 2, Virtuo, BacT Alert, MS Prime

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
This position provides solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, and remotely, on bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines. Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain business, collaborate with stakeholders.  
  
This is a field-based position supporting the great Tampa territory, and candidates must reside within the territory or be willing to relocate. Extensive field travel is required - average 50-75% overnight stays.  
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux’s Quality System. 
  • Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base. 
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers. 
  • Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMérieux’s CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams. 
  • Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators. 
  • Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget. 
  • Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned, and/or as business needs dictate. 
Education, Skills, & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, technical, or life science field 
  • 1+ years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent. 
    • bioMérieux product experience preferred. 
    • ASCP or MLT certifications preferred 
    • Clinical Microbiology experience is highly desired
    • Laboratory Information System, or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus. 
  • Experience with guidelines with CLIA regulations and/or additional laboratory credentialing agencies preferred. 
  • Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.  
  • Experience with bioMerieux products is a plus - Vitek 2, Virtuo, BacT Alert, and/or MS Prime
