Job Description

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Google Cloud Platform's Public Sector team in Colombia, you'll build and maintain executive relationships with government and state entities. You'll leverage your experience to identify business growth opportunities, collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners, and present solutions to C-level executives. Responsibilities include managing the sales cycle, negotiating terms, forecasting accurately, and achieving strategic goals. You'll need to deeply understand clients' business needs and advocate for Google Cloud's solutions to enhance productivity, collaboration, and mobility within public organizations. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
Must have:
  • 10+ years B2B cloud/software sales experience
  • Public sector experience in Colombia
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • Executive relationship building
  • Lead generation and account management
  • Negotiation and deal closing
Good to have:
  • Cross-functional team leadership
  • Commercial and legal negotiation experience
  • Experience with customer engineers
  • C-level relationship cultivation
  • Cloud solution expertise (infrastructure, databases, analytics)
  • Growing existing customer base and acquiring new logos

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Experience working with the public sector market, including government and state entities across Colombia.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish as this role requires regular interaction with clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with, and leading, cross-functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.
  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations, working with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience working with customer engineers and customers technical leads to inventory software estate, define migration plans, and build migration business cases.
  • Experience growing existing customer base and acquiring new logos at scale, to increase spend and accelerate consumption business growth.
  • Experience cultivating C-level relationships and influencing executives.
  • Experience promoting Cloud solutions, infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or applications software across public sector, aligning solutions to drive business outcomes.

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Public Sector, you will be working with the Public Sector accounts related to different public entities across the region. You’ll leverage experience engaging with executives to build on existing relationships, establish relationships in new areas, and act as a business partner to understand customer's challenges and goals. You will advocate the innovative power of products and solutions to make public organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with enterprise customers to influence their long-term technology and business decisions, and add value as a trusted advisor.
  • Build knowledge of customers business, including their SaaS product portfolio, technology strategy, strategic growth plans, business drivers, financial structure, customer base, vertical market offering, and engaged landscape.
  • Lead account strategy to develop business growth opportunities, work cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google partners to support business impact within Public Sector customers.
  • Manage business cycles, present to C-level executives, and negotiate terms.
  • Drive business development, own operational excellence at scale, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
