Job Description

This role involves performing routine operation and maintenance duties for computer-based training systems. The technician will operate proprietary and real-time monitoring software, maintain database entries, and work under supervision. The position requires proficiency in PC software, computer hardware, and operating systems, along with effective communication skills. Shift work is required.
Must have:
  • Perform duties associated with system operations
  • Operate proprietary software used in computer-based training systems
  • Operate Real-Time monitoring software
  • Perform technical and non-technical tasks under supervision
  • Maintain database entries for recording maintenance and training activities
  • Proficiency in PC software such as word processors and spreadsheet applications
  • Competency in computer hardware & operating systems
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to acquire a passport for some international travel
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Physically fit to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders
  • Training or experience in technical fields associated with Computers and Electronics

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties associated with system operations
  • Operate proprietary software used in computer-based training systems.
  • Operate Real-Time monitoring software.
  • Perform technical and non-technical tasks under supervision.
  • Maintain database entries for recording maintenance and training activities.
  • Able to learn a variety of software applications and utilities.
  • Be able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work under the supervision of managers & technical personnel.
  • Shift work is required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in PC software such as word processors and spreadsheet applications.
  • Competency in computer hardware & operating systems.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Be able to work in Canada legally
  • Will need to acquire a passport for some international travel.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
