Job Description

Boomi is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner to oversee the P&L for Professional Services in a SaaS environment. The role involves partnering with stakeholders to deliver financial analysis and recommendations, supporting the subscription-based business model and customer success. Key responsibilities include SaaS P&L management, ownership of capacity and bookings to revenue models, analysis of metrics like CLV, CAC, and NDR, leading budgeting and forecasting for Services and Support, and collaborating with Customer Success, Support, and Product teams. The role also requires developing financial models for new initiatives, designing KPI dashboards, and ensuring compliance with SaaS-specific regulations and accounting standards such as ASC 606.
Must have:
  • 10+ years FP&A experience, preferably in SaaS/subscription
  • Proficiency in SaaS financial tools (Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with ASC 606
  • Knowledge of SaaS pricing models
  • Experience with customer success finance frameworks

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner to oversee the P&L for our Professional Services functions within a SaaS environment. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the company to deliver insightful financial analysis and recommendations, enabling data-driven decisions that drive growth, efficiency, and profitability. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting our subscription-based business model and enhancing customer success outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • SaaS P&L Management: Take ownership of Services and Support P&L, ensuring precise revenue recognition, expense forecasting, and profitability analysis in alignment with SaaS metrics and reporting standards
  • Services Metrics:
    • Own capacity and bookings to revenue models for professional services organization
    • Understand and model how services attach to subscription bookings
    • Analyze and report on metrics such as Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC), and Net Dollar Retention (NDR) to inform business strategy
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for Services and Support teams, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to provide financial guidance and ensure alignment with company goals
  • Financial Modeling: Develop detailed models to evaluate new initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency opportunities
  • KPI Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards to track KPIs specific to SaaS operations, providing real-time insights for senior leadership
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure financial practices comply with SaaS-specific regulations and accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606)


The Experience you bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience: 10+ years of FP&A experience, with a strong preference for candidates from SaaS or subscription-based industries
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SaaS financial tools and platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Adaptive Insights
    • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are essential
  • Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, subscription-based revenue recognition, and financial modeling for customer success initiatives
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition, SaaS pricing models, and customer success finance frameworks
