Job Description

GoFundMe is seeking a Finance Manager for its Corporate FP&A team. This role is central to GoFundMe's financial operations, involving partnership across the company to shape its financial profile, provide insightful analysis, and manage centralized financial processes like quarterly results, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional with a strong track record in financial analysis and reporting, capable of driving strategic initiatives and contributing to company growth.
Must have:
  • Develop financial models and distill complex financial data into impactful business insights.
  • Participate in ongoing management and influence decision-making through solid relationships with cross-functional business partners.
  • Synthesize a clear and succinct story dictated by the numbers and present it to senior leadership.
  • Support capital planning process by partnering with senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with key executives around business case development.
  • Handle / lead the completion of special projects as requested by the Executive Team.
  • Drive and coordinate various portions of annual planning, quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting processes.
  • Identify and improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and internal controls through process improvement.
  • Play a key role in leading the financial diligence efforts for corporate development strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with SVP Finance and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
  • Have extensive experience developing and analyzing 3 statement financial models.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into simple, structured frameworks.
  • Show demonstrated experience in driving complex and cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Be highly analytical and able to extract business insights from analysis.
  • Possess strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
  • Have a proven track record of self-motivation, prioritization, initiative and integrity.
Good to have:
  • M.B.A. or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Exposure to e-commerce, fintech, Enterprise SAAS, and payments.
  • M&A due diligence experience.
  • Proficiency with SQL and statistical tools.
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights as well as Netsuite or other ERP systems.

We partner across the company to shape our financial profile, provide insightful and actionable analysis that empowers growth, and bring clarity and focus to our colleagues, leadership, and board. Corporate FP&A manages our centralized financial processes including the preparation of our quarterly results and forecast, budgeting and strategic planning, and management and board reporting.

We are looking for an experienced financial professional with a strong track record in financial analysis and reporting. This role will be a key asset in the growth of the company by partnering with other departments on key strategic initiatives through critical/creative thinking, planning, analysis, contribution of ideas, bringing attention/solutions to missed gaps, and preparation of related presentations as necessary. The Job

  • Develop financial models and distill complex financial data into impactful business insights, reporting, and analyses to support strategic initiatives and ad hoc executive requests
  • Participate in the ongoing management of the business and influence decision-making through solid relationships built with cross-functional business partners
  • Synthesize a clear and succinct story dictated by the numbers and present it to senior leadership
  • Support capital planning process by partnering with senior leaders to understand key company initiatives, level of investment, and ROI
  • Collaborate with key executives around business case development, including cost/benefit and financial analysis
  • Handle / lead the completion of special projects as requested by the Executive Team
  • Drive and coordinate various portions of annual planning, quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting processes to deliver predictable financial results, early warning of potential gaps, and timely identification and implementation of corrective action
  • Identify and improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and internal controls through process improvement across departments
  • Play a key role in leading the financial diligence efforts for our corporate development strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with SVP Finance and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategic financial plans

You

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance; M.B.A. or other relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Exposure to e-commerce, fintech, Enterprise SAAS, and payments is a plus
  • Extensive experience developing and analyzing 3 statement financial models; M&A due diligence experience is a plus
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and detailed analysis into simple, structured frameworks with concrete action plans
  • Demonstrated experience in driving complex and cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly analytical and able to extract business insights from analysis; strong financial modeling and analysis skills required; proficiency with SQL and statistical tools are a plus
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights as well as Netsuite or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $133,000 - $190,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
