We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the Portfolio Finance team of Mendix in one of our major locations.
We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the Mendix Portfolio Finance team at Siemens Industry Software. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment, supporting the Growth (Marketing) organization with financial insights and strategic guidance.
As part of the Mendix FP&A team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, deliver data-driven analysis, and help shape financial decisions that drive business success. Mendix operates with its own P&L and reports directly to the DI SW CFO, offering you high visibility and impact.
Your new responsibilities
· Lead financial activities including monthly close, accruals, prepaids, forecasting, and budgeting for the Growth organization.
· Provide financial transparency through detailed analysis and commentary for key stakeholders.
· Analyze data from systems like SAP, Hyperion, and others to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
· Drive quarterly product reporting in collaboration with the Head of Portfolio Finance.
· Improve forecast accuracy by reviewing purchase order data with demand owners.
· Build strong partnerships with stakeholders in the Growth organization.
· Prepare executive-level presentations for the CMO and CFO of Mendix.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.
· Support ad-hoc analysis and contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives.
Required Skills
· Strong financial background with a focus on business analysis.
· Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint (think-cell experience is a plus).
· Proficiency in SAP ERP, Oracle Hyperion Planning, and SAP BusinessObjects.
· Excellent communication skills – able to present complex financial data clearly.
· A learning mindset, strong decision-making skills, and a proactive attitude.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
· Experience in software/SaaS or high-growth environments is a plus.
· Background in FP&A or performance controlling is advantageous.
· Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset.
· Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
