Job Description

PwC is seeking a Forensic IT (Data) Analyst - (Senior) Associate to join its Cyber Security, Forensics & Privacy practice in the Netherlands. This role involves combining IT/data skills with an investigative mindset to uncover electronic traces of fraud, data breaches, corruption, and regulatory violations. The consultant will work with state-of-the-art technology on international assignments, focusing on cybercrime, data breach response, digital forensics, eDiscovery, compliance, and investigative data analytics. Responsibilities include analyzing IT systems, collecting digital evidence, developing research methods for complex data, preparing reports, and researching new forensic IT techniques.

Must Have:
  • Analyze IT systems and environments to identify sources of possible digital evidence.
  • Collect digital evidence from various sources in a forensically sound manner.
  • Develop research methods for complex sets of (un)structured data.
  • Prepare reports to present findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct research studies on new forensic IT techniques.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in IT/Engineering/Data/Computer science.
  • At least 3 years of work experience for a Senior Associate role.
  • Excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English.
  • Experience and/or interest in forensic IT procedures to collect, process and analyze data.
  • Experience in coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Ruby, C#, Neoj4, PowerBI etc.).
  • Knowledge of forensic IT tools (Relativity, FTK, Encase, Cellebrite, Axiom, SIFT workstation, Autopsy, etc.).

Job Description & Summary

We grow our Cyber Security, Forensics & Privacy practice (currently with over 150 professionals in the Netherlands) and are looking for Forensic Technology consultants. As a Forensic Technology consultant, you will combine IT/data skills with an investigative mindset, in search of electronic traces of fraud, data breaches, corruption, and violations of regulation. Our work is exciting, challenging and always different!

Your role

Our fast-growing Forensic Technology Solutions (FTS) team specializes in developing and executing solutions that cover all forensic IT facets of fraud investigation.

The topics that are central to this are:

  • Cybercrime & Data Breach Response
  • Digital Forensics & eDiscovery
  • Compliance & Investigative Data Analytics

You will work with state-of-the-art technology to conduct investigations in an (inter)national context in collaboration with clients, lawyers and other specialists. You will be part of a team and:

  • Analyze IT systems and environments to identify sources of possible digital evidence
  • Collect digital evidence from various sources in a forensically sound manner
  • Develop research methods for complex sets of (un)structured data
  • Prepare reports to present findings to stakeholders
  • Conduct research studies on new forensic IT techniques

In addition to carrying out assignments at home and abroad, you will also follow courses with international colleagues and attend conferences.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in IT/Engineering/Data/Computer science
  • For a Senior Associate role; you have at least 3 years of work experience, preferably in this field
  • You have excellent proficiency of both Dutch and English
  • You are a team player, but also able to work independently
  • You are solution-oriented, analytical, pragmatic and have good communication skills
  • You are eager to travel and are willing to work with international colleagues abroad on great assignments
  • You can quickly analyze complex matters and function well under pressure with clear deadlines
  • You have experience and/or are interested in forensic IT procedures to collect, process and analyze data
  • You have experience in coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Ruby, C#, Neoj4, PowerBI etc.)
  • You have some knowledge of forensic IT tools (Relativity, FTK, Encase, Cellebrite, Axiom, SIFT workstation, Autopsy, etc.)
