Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator position at Sika in Gastonia, North Carolina, involves operating both standup and sit-down forklifts for loading, unloading, banding, wrapping, and staging parts. Responsibilities include ensuring proper labeling and compliance with company policies. Must Have

• Able to operate both standup and sit-down forklifts.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Band and/or wrap parts to pallets or racks.
• Ensure part pallets, containers and racks are labeled properly and QA approved stamped.
• Stage WIP parts into kitting rack, OLP racks, and Repack.
• Comply with all organization’s policies, SOPs and WIs.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of metric system.
• Computer literate.
• Able to read and write.

Good to Have

• 3 months-1 year related manufacturing experience.
• Continuously look for areas or processes to improve.
• Serve all team members, listen to understand, resolve issues at the lowest level.

Responsibilities & Opportunities

2nd and 3rd shifts available

2nd - 2:00pm - 10:30pm

3rd - 10:00pm - 6:30am

• Able to operate both standup and sit-down forklifts.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Band and/or wrap parts to pallets or racks.
• Ensure part pallets, containers and racks are labeled properly and QA approved stamped before loading into truck.
• Stage WIP parts into kitting rack; Stage WIP sheets into OLP racks; Stage WIP parts stackable racks into Repack
• Complies with all organization’s policies, SOPs and WIs; Hold team mates accountable as well.
• Continuously look for areas or processes to improve.
• Serve all team members, listen to understand, resolve issues at the lowest level; escalate if assistance is needed
• All other duties assigned by management.
