Job Description
Company Overview
Each year, 2.5 trillion hours are spent on household chores. At Matic, we’re on a mission to recapture that lost time, and we’re doing it by revolutionizing home robotics.
Our first product, also called Matic, is a Wall-E-esque floor cleaning robot. We've built what amounts to "full self-driving in the home” with real-time 3D mapping, adaptive path-tracking, and a precise semantic understanding of the home. Our breakthroughs in spatial AI allow Matic to work reliably in real homes, using only RGB cameras and neural networks running on-device.
Privacy First
What happens in the home, stays in the home. Our robots are private by design, with all data processing performed by the robot itself, not in the cloud.
Our Approach
Before the iPhone, consumers adopted several distinct devices; cell phones, PDAs, and portable music players each served a particular need. We believe in a similar progression for home robotics, starting with single-purpose robots and building iteratively toward more complex capabilities over time.
Our Culture
Matic is a tight-knit and collaborative team, singularly focused on building products our customers will cherish. We're ultra-hardworking people committed to solving tough problems that save precious time and energy.
About the role
As a Robotics Material Handler, you'll play a critical role in keeping Matic's production lines running smoothly by ensuring operators have the materials they need, when they need them. This contract position is focused on material flow—receiving, staging, and delivering subassemblies and components to our QC and Final Assembly stations so our production team can stay focused on building robots.
Matic's production team is dynamic, highly cross-functional, and deeply motivated by a shared love for robots. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in keeping things organized, and want to directly impact production efficiency, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Stock QC-passed subassemblies and components at Final Assembly lines to minimize operator movement and maximize build time.
- Receive and unbox incoming subassemblies; stage and feed materials to QC stations.
- Break down packaging, manage cardboard and waste, and maintain clear pathways throughout the facility.
- Assist with receiving and moving pallets in and out of production areas.
- Monitor material levels and proactively replenish stations before shortages occur.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all material staging areas.
- Communicate material issues or shortages to production leads promptly.
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow, reduce handling time, or enhance workplace safety.
- Execute data entry related to material movement, including accurately issuing, counting, and pulling stock from racks for delivery to production areas.
- Conduct inventory verification and cycle counting to ensure count accuracy.
- Use FedEx (or similar) shipment-processing software when preparing outbound shipments.
- Perform additional duties as required to support production and operations.
What we look for

- Quick learner who can adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude.
- Effective communicator who can coordinate across teams.
- Open to shift flexibility (we're hiring for both day and evening shifts).
