GE Power Conversion, part of GE Vernova, designs and supplies advanced motor, drive, and control technologies to improve efficiency and decarbonization in marine, energy, and industrial applications, accelerating the energy transition. This 2-year undergraduate internship program is for students seeking growth and aims for the intern to work in the Production Planning and Control area, supporting the team with production scheduling, material availability, and process improvement.

Must Have

  • Currently studying Administration, Production Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Automation
  • Expected graduation from December 2027 onwards
  • Intermediate English
  • Intermediate Office Suite skills
  • Availability for 100% in-person internship, 7 AM to 2 PM (with 1 hour lunch) in Campinas/SP
  • Support monitoring of manufactured semi-finished products
  • Act with production programmers on weekly production plan
  • Monitor and follow up with manufacturing supervision on production order dates
  • Monitor raw material availability with Supply Chain team
  • Extract data and reports from SAP ERP system for analysis
  • Collaborate on quality and continuous improvement programs
  • Comply with quality, environment, safety, and occupational health standards

The Program: Lasting 2 (two) years, and exclusive for undergraduate students, our internship program was developed for those seeking growth and who want to evolve with us. We want people with the energy to move the world!

Objective of this position: to work in the Production Programming and Control area.

Job Description

Main Activities

  • Support the monitoring of manufactured semi-finished products, together with the production areas, monitoring the fulfillment of delivery and analyzing the impact on the chain;
  • Work together with the production programmers of the work center to make available and balance the weekly production plan;
  • Monitor and follow up with manufacturing supervision on the fulfillment of dates for production orders released in the production plan (Systemic and physical progress);
  • Monitor the availability of raw materials with the Supply Chain team (monitoring of purchased items) as well as making requests for these items to the warehouse following the process of issuing requisitions in the SAP system;
  • Extract data and reports from the ERP system (SAP) and perform quantitative and comparative analyses of the systemic progress of production orders related to the production plan released for the work center;
  • Collaborate for the maintenance of quality and continuous improvement programs, following norms and procedures, identifying potential improvements and acting to implement them;
  • Comply with norms and procedures related to the quality, environment, safety, and occupational health management system;
  • Perform other related activities at the discretion of their immediate superior and/or in relation to the procedures of their work process.

Prerequisites

  • Currently studying Administration, Production Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Automation, with expected graduation from December/27 onwards;
  • Intermediate English;
  • Intermediate Office Suite;
  • Availability for 100% in-person internship, from 7 AM to 2 PM (with 1 hour lunch) at our factory located in Campinas/SP.
