We are seeking a talented Project Manager II to support a leading industry company. This hybrid role, requiring at least three days in the Raleigh, NC office, focuses on overseeing complex transmission and grid interconnection projects. Must Have
- Lead and guide project teams

- Manage risks and issues

- At least 5 years of project management experience (or 9 years with equivalent background)
- Demonstrated expertise in managing transmission projects and related engineering initiatives
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management

The position is suited for professionals with significant project management experience in the energy or utility sectors, especially those familiar with transmission engineering, project planning, and stakeholder coordination. This 7-12 month contract provides an excellent platform to lead projects that impact various levels of the organization and external agencies.
Project Manager II Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide project teams, collaborating across multiple internal departments and external partners to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among stakeholders, including preparing status reports and leading project meetings.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality benchmarks.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget constraints while managing risks and issues.
- Maintain alignment with organizational policies and standards by providing leadership, decision-making, and coordination throughout project lifecycles.
Project Manager II Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required; a master's in project management or business administration is preferred.
- At least 5 years of project management experience, or 9 years with an equivalent background, especially in energy or utility sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing transmission projects and related engineering initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PE, or Certified Associate of Project Management are preferred.
