Must Have

We are looking for a Discipline Project Manager with strong professional skills and experience in HVAC for our Buildings business unit. At AFRY, we develop and advise on buildable, sustainable solutions for future generations. We have many years of expertise within the construction industry in Denmark, and our knowledge spans widely across high-rises, client consulting, industrial construction, and much more. You will become part of a strong interdisciplinary environment with competent colleagues who take pride in providing holistic advice.

About the tasks

As a Discipline Project Manager, you will be part of an engaged team of approximately 20 skilled colleagues with various professional backgrounds, such as engineers, installers, construction architects, and technical designers. To ensure interdisciplinary coherence in projects, we work extensively in project groups, so you will work closely with electrical, civil, and structural engineers, among others. We are a department consisting of dedicated and professionally skilled employees who are passionate about delivering optimal and future-proof sustainable solutions within the design of all types of HVAC installations in buildings, including water, heating, ventilation, cooling, rain, and wastewater.

You will be part of a professional technical environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and good collaboration. Your daily life will be characterized by good colleagues, professional challenges, and great autonomy. Furthermore, we have a strong focus on your well-being and development, both professionally and personally, e.g., through competence development courses and opportunities for further education.

In your daily work, you will, among other things, work with:

  • strengthening technical expertise and interdisciplinary work on both projects and in the office
  • being a discipline project manager for larger and smaller projects, where you set the direction and principles
  • leading a team – including having a coordinating role in relation to handling budgets, planning, facilitating interdisciplinarity, etc.
  • being in contact with collaborators as well as current and potential new clients
  • contributing to the technical development in the department.

You will get to work with a wide range of exciting, diverse projects of both larger and smaller scale; everything from schools and hospitals to high-rises, residential buildings, daycare institutions, commercial buildings, etc.

Qualifications

  • are a qualified HVAC engineer
  • have more than 5 years of experience
  • have experience in the consulting industry as an engineer and preferably as a discipline lead
  • are a skilled communicator of technical knowledge and are accustomed to creating coherence across disciplines
  • have a proactive approach to your work and, not least, to collaboration, where you are the person people turn to when they need help
  • are technically strong in HVAC and Ventilation design and can work independently at a high level
  • thrive in a role with direct customer contact and take pride in delivering a good project to our customers.
