Job Summary
We are looking for a Systems Engineer/Technical Project Manager to join our team working with authorities and companies in the defense sector. The role involves working with complex technical systems, Systems Engineering, system of systems, and various phases of a system's lifecycle, including requirements management. You will contribute to secure overall solutions, streamline processes, and participate in complex system development, making a difference for society.
Must Have
- Master of Science in Engineering (or Bachelor of Science in Engineering) in Systems in Technology and Society (STS), Engineering Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or extensive work experience in systems engineering.
- Experience from defense or defense-related areas, preferably with FMV's processes or equivalent in the defense industry.
- Several years of professional experience in systems work, Systems Engineering, system of systems, lifecycle perspective, technical project management, complex technical systems, requirements management, requirements verification, configuration management, ILS, and/or ISO 15288.
- Experience with multiple system lifecycle phases (concept, development, production, operation, maintenance, decommissioning).
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Good to Have
- Experience as a consultant
- INCOSE certification
- Experience with requirements management tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience in computational science/programming (mathematical modeling, numerical methods, programming, simulation, visualization, analysis) or EMC

Our team of committed people is looking for a Systems Engineer/Technical Project Manager who is eager to meet our customers' various needs. We work with authorities and companies in the defense sector to create secure overall solutions, streamline processes, and contribute to complex system development.
The tasks may vary depending on the customer and assignment you work with, and in which phase of the system's lifecycle, but common to all is that you get the opportunity to work with advanced and complex systems that make a difference for society.
Requirements Specification
We are now looking for a Systems Engineer/Technical Project Manager who is accustomed to working with larger and more complex systems that require good collaboration skills. As a consultant and experienced professional, you contribute to customer value and increased sales. You have a good understanding of the entire system lifecycle and are confident in navigating between technology, requirements, and collaboration.
We require you to meet the following:
- Master of Science in Engineering (alternatively Bachelor of Science in Engineering) with a specialization from, for example, Systems in Technology and Society (STS), Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering. Longer work experience in systems work, Systems Engineering, system of systems, can also meet the requirements.
- Experience from defense or defense-related areas, preferably also with FMV's processes and working methods or equivalent in the defense industry.
- Several years of professional experience in the following: systems work, Systems Engineering, system of systems, lifecycle perspective, technical project management/project participation, complex technical systems, requirements management, requirements verification, configuration management, ILS (Integrated Logistics Support), and/or the lifecycle model ISO 15288.
- Experience with several of a system's lifecycle phases (concept, development, production, operation, maintenance, decommissioning).
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as documentation, review, and communication constitute a large part of the work.
Meritorious to have:
- Experience in consulting
- Certification from the international Systems Engineering organization INCOSE
- Experience with requirements management tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience in computational science/programming thinking (mathematical modeling, numerical methods, programming and simulation, visualization and analysis) or experience from the EMC area
