WeMoms seeks a Freelance Lead Backend Engineer (Ruby) to drive the technical execution of its app. Responsibilities include optimizing for business impact, delivering at scale, ensuring quality and speed, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate possesses strong Ruby, system & software architecture experience, and ideally some DevOps/Infra experience. The role requires a pragmatic approach, strong technical vision, and the ability to bridge tech and product needs while keeping users in mind. The candidate should be able to maintain calm under pressure and provide leadership.
Good To Have:
- Experience in Consumer Tech or AdTech
- Infra/DevOps experience
Must Have:
- 5+ years experience as Senior/Lead Developer
- Strong Ruby, system & software architecture skills

Scope
Profile
- Tech Leadership: Proven experience as an Senior or Lead developer, preferably in Consumer Tech or AdTech, with a minimum of 5 years
- Pragmatic: Ability to make strategic, pragmatic decisions at critical moments to ensure the company’s technological needs are met efficiently
- Back end: Strong experience in Ruby, System & software architectures.
- Infra : An experience in Infra / DevOps is a plus
- Hands-on : Maintaining a strong technical vision while remaining very operational.
- Business-Oriented: Make the bridge between the tech and product, while keeping the end users in mind
- Calm: Remain calm and collected under pressure, providing steady and reassuring leadership to the Tech team and executive committee.
