Job Description

Sandisk, a leader in Flash and advanced memory technologies, is seeking a Fresh Graduate Engineer for Equipment Engineering. This role involves supporting the Department Manager in achieving company goals related to yield, quality, cost, utilization, productivity, and cycle time. The engineer will be responsible for documentation, new device introduction, material inspection, continuous improvement, process control, and issue resolution, working collaboratively within a team to ensure operational excellence and innovation in semiconductor assembly and manufacturing.
Must have:
  • Support Department Manager on company goals, strategy, and tactics
  • Work with team for good execution
  • Support company and department goals on yield, quality, cost, utilization, productivity, and cycle time
  • Knowledgeable in Back End equipment
  • Documentation: SOP, WI, FMEA, OCAP, Control Plan for related process
  • Ensure effective hand shaking process of new device/product introduction
  • Responsible for new material/component first articles inspection and final buyoff
  • Continuous improvement on direct/indirect material cost down & yield enhancement
  • Ensure robustness of process control to meet yield & thru-put expectation
  • Report non-conformance/customer complaints and develop/follow up improvement actions
  • Participate to resolve issues through teamwork and coordinate internal/external audit programs
Good to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical/Material/Electrical/Physics Engineering
  • Familiarity with equipment engineering experience in semiconductor assembly and manufacturing plant
  • Proven desire to work as a team member

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In this position, the individual will be responsible for fully supporting the Department Manager on the development of the Company goals, strategy, and tactics.
  • The most important being the ability to work with the team to assure the good execution.
  • The individual will work with the team to fully support the company and department goals on yield, quality, and cost, utilization, productivity, and cycle time.
  • Knowledgeable in the Back End equipment
  • Documentation: SOP, WI, FMEA, OCAP and Control Plan for related process.
  • Ensure effective hand shaking process of new device/product introduction to the line and new process technology capabilities developments.
  • Responsible for new material/component first articles inspection and final buyoff.
  • Continuous improvement on direct/indirect material cost down & yield enhancement program.
  • Ensure robustness of process control to meet yield & thru-put expectation.
  • Report any non-conformance/customer complains issue and develop/follow up the improvement actions.
  • Fully participate to resolve the issue through teamwork and be the main coordinator for any internal/ external audit programs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Must have basic knowledge at mechanical equipment and PnP mechanism.
  • In depth understanding & process characterization of mechanical machine and communicate well with machine OEM.
  • Hands on skill with machine setup & PM will be preferred
  • Basic understanding on pick and plance mechanism.
  • Proficient in standard business application software, Tools & standard engineering method (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, JMP, SPC, DOE, DMAIC, 8D,5-why etc.).

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical/Material/Electrical/Physics Engineering
  • Familiar with equipment engineering experience in semiconductor assembly and manufacturing plant.
  • A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
