Job Description

This Full-Stack Software Engineer role involves designing, implementing, testing, and delivering scalable, maintainable products and services. Responsibilities include applying best practices for security, performance, and accessibility, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring strong ownership of deliverables to build features customers will love while keeping the platform stable.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in multi-site/multi-region Wordpress development.
  • Experience with NodeJS/Express, TypeScript, and Backends for Frontends (BFF).
  • Experience delivering Digital Experiences in decoupled/headless architecture.
  • Experience using/setting up a front-end CDN (e.g., Akamai/Cloud-flare).
  • Experience using GIT Hub actions or other automation tools, Splunk, New-Relic.
  • Experience building scalable services/applications on public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Prior experience in pagerduty/on-call support.
Must Have:
  • Design, implement, test, and deliver scalable products and services.
  • Implement architecture and design proposals with best practices.
  • Develop readable, re-usable, maintainable code focusing on security, performance, accessibility.
  • Follow agile development best practices and provide daily updates.
  • Strong ownership of deliverables; collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX.
  • Present designs for review and address feedback efficiently.
  • Develop test strategies, write unit/E2E tests for code coverage.
  • 4+ years in software development, web applications expertise.
  • Strong expertise in Wordpress applications & custom plug-in development.
  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and ReactJS/AngularJs.
  • Experience with large-scale, complex web applications adhering to web standards.
  • Experience with VCS systems like GIT Hub.
  • Good in CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, problem solving, complexity analysis.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues.
  • Experience in unit testing, JEST/PHPUnit, Agile development, bug/change management.
  • Familiarity working in a Continuous Integration/Deployment setup.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent.

The Salesforce Web Platforms team is responsible for the innovation of the Salesforce digital experience globally, leveraging best-in-class technology and systems—including Salesforce’s platform. Salesforce continues to grow rapidly and our digital experience ensures that visitors, prospects, customers and trailblazers can connect with Salesforce content and capability in a seamless and engaging manner. We continually seek to achieve a balance between creativity and technology and are looking for a Member of Technical Staff(MTS) for Authoring Platform engineering team where the marketing team authors the salesforce and its subsidiary brand marketing websites. We build & maintain a wide range of enterprise scale functionalities for our multi-region, multi-brand websites and also integrate them with AgentForce to enhance cutting edge capabilities and experiences to our business and end customers.

Your Impact

As a full-stack engineer, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Design, implement, test and deliver scalable, extensible, maintainable and observable products and services
  • Work with lead and senior engineers to implement architecture and design proposals. Apply best practices to develop readable, re-usable and maintainable code with focus on security, performance, scalability, accessibility, i18n etc.
  • Follow agile development best practices - collaborate with team, provide daily updates and be highly adaptable to changes business requirements.
  • Strong ownership of your deliverables - Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, user experience experts to build new features our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable
  • Present your designs to internal/external groups for review and address the feedback efficiently.
  • Develop test strategies, write unit/E2E tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.

Required Skills/Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in software development with good expertise in web applications development.
  • Strong expertise in developing Wordpress applications & custom plug-in development with proficiency in PHP, JavaScript and at least one of the front-end frameworks like ReactJS/ AngularJs.
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex web applications adhering to web standards like responsiveness, web page performance, security and accessibility.
  • Experience working with VCS systems like GIT Hub or similar is a must.
  • Good in CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work with stakeholders to understand and resolve their issues.
  • Experience in unit testing, testing frameworks like JEST/ PHPUnit, Agile project development and bug/change management systems.
  • Familiarity working in a Continuous Integration/ Deployment setup
