Full Stack Tech Lead

With a majority of our games developed in-house by our esteemed Game Studios, we employ a diverse array of technologies. Our primary focus lies in browser-based games, prominently featuring a Javascript frontend and Java backend, complemented by support for various other technologies.

We are seeking a seasoned FullStack Technical Lead to fortify our support for Game Studios. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of game development within our Studios, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will extend to crafting tools, dashboards and automation to empower the Studios for optimal efficiency.

The role necessitates effective collaboration with diverse teams across the company, spanning technical and non-technical domains, underscoring the significance of strong communication skills.

What You'll Do

• Spearhead full-stack development encompassing Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeCollaborate on front and back-end game development initiatives
• Guide 2 game studios towards best practices and technical excellence
• Serve as the bridge between the Game Development Kit Department and the 2 London game studios
• Drive delivery acceleration through automation and streamlined pipelines
• Evaluate, develop, and deploy tooling solutions to facilitate development processes
• Cultivate a shared vision, impart knowledge, and onboard others
• Inspire with your unwavering passion and drive for all things technical
• Proactively identify risks and formulate contingency plans
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements
• Motivate team members and create an open forum for questions and concerns
• Foster transparency within the team regarding challenges, failures, and successes

What We're Looking For

• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript with a deep understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem
• Exceptional technical writing skills, adept at creating comprehensive technical documentation
• Ability to design and articulate complex technical solutions effectively
• Hands-on experience in developing client-side mobile applications and games
• Sound grasp of software development methodologies such as TDD, BDD, and Unit Testing
• Proficiency with continuous delivery, integration, and build technologies
• Working knowledge of Git, preferably with experience in GitLab
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
