Design Works Gaming is looking for an experienced and determined Game Artist to join our Art Team in Scottsdale!

Your Role and Impact:

Art Related Tasks:
 

• Create game art and art related assets including characters, backgrounds, symbols, text, logos, and various other graphic elements
• Shows effort to learn, seeks feedback and takes direction from the higher-level artists in order to grow and fine tune their skill and knowledge.
• Assist other departments such as Commercial and Marketing with art related tasks when necessary
• Contributes to a collaborative environment within the team
• Meets quality expectations pertaining to the art and games being worked on
• Seeks out and shares outside sources of art and design inspiration in the Art Inspiration Channel at least once per week
• Takes part in inter/intradepartmental/company activities (Hosting Lunch and Learns and Tutorial Meetings)

Abilities and Expectations: 

• Design and illustrate games and graphics for Casino games including Slots and Videos in a variety of different themes and      styles 
• Ability to push creative projects from concept to final execution
• Collaborate with the team on the execution of both large and small projects with the same enthusiasm
• Ability to communicate well with different people and departments even under pressure
• Be passionate, motivated and excited about what you do!      
• Thrives in a team environment, but can also work independently
• Friendly and personable!
• Works for the excellence of the product

General Tasks: 

• Maintain efficient workflow, time management and job prioritization
• Consistency with managing PTO, Sick Time
• Communicates well, maintains a high level of availability and response time
• Basic understanding or willingness to learn JIRA and ticket management
• Takes part in inter/intradepartmental/company activities

Skills:

• Digital Illustration 
• Graphic Design 
• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• Understanding of traditional art (drawing, painting, color theory, anatomy, light/shadow)
