Job description
The QA Tester is responsible for executing test cases, verifying software functionality, and identifying defects to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. They play a crucial role in validating the application against requirements, finding and reporting defects, and maintaining accurate test documentation.
DESCRIPTION
- Execute test cases based on predefined test plans and test scripts to verify software functionality, usability, and performance.
- Record test results, including observed behaviors, defects, and deviations from expected results.
- Report and track defects using a defect tracking system, providing accurate and detailed information to assist in defect resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper defect categorization, prioritization, and timely resolution.
- Work closely with QA Engineers and QA Leads to clarify test case execution details, raise concerns, and provide feedback on test coverage and effectiveness.
- Participate in test case reviews and provide input for test case improvement and refinement.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation and provide necessary inputs for test automation scripts.
- Collaborate with QA Compliance Testers to ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements during testing.
- Continuously update and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test environments.
- Monitor and track test execution progress, providing timely status updates to stakeholders.
- Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent written communication skills (especially in the English language)
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft and Google platforms (MS Office, Google Docs, etc.)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Passion for the video games and translation industries
- Knowledge of prior and current gen consoles, and PC
- Understanding of digital technologies (mobile, tablets, browser tools, etc.)
- Experience with participating in testing open Alpha, Beta, and Early Access games
