As a games curator on the App Store’s editorial team, your primary responsibility will be to dive into the App Store’s vast gaming library to discover and promote the best selections for customers. Your focus will be across Apple platforms, including iPhone and iPad, shaping how editorial content appears across each storefront. You’ll collaborate with global editorial, business, marketing, and product teams to ensure broad awareness. Responsibilities include evaluating new games, preorders, updates, and in-app events for editorial featuring, and creating game collections based on genres and cultural significance. You will write copy for editorial collections, support storytelling, and be a key voice for discovering and covering the latest games on the App Store.
Must have:
  • Dive into the App Store’s vast gaming library to discover and promote the best selections for customers.
  • Focus across Apple platforms, including iPhone and iPad.
  • Shape how editorial content appears across each storefront.
  • Work with global editorial, business, marketing, and product teams.
  • Evaluate new games, preorders, updates, and in-app events for editorial featuring consideration.
  • Create collections of games based on genres, moments of cultural significance, and other editorial concepts.
  • Write copy for the App Store for editorial collections.
  • Help support editorial storytelling.
  • Be a key voice for discovering and covering the latest and greatest games on the App Store.
  • 5+ years experience covering games with published writing.
  • Portfolio of published writing samples.

  • Ability to write insightful, concise, and entertaining copy
  • Deep familiarity with the Apple Games ecosystem on iPhone and iPad
  • Enthusiasm for evaluating games across a wide range of genres, from match puzzlers to turn-based strategy games
  • Appreciation of a team-focused environment where cross-functional collaboration is key
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Familiarity with complex content management systems
  • Experience with Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro games
  • Comfort with making presentations in Keynote and presenting work and insights to peers
  • Experience with working on projects with teams across different time zones
  • Understanding of Game Center and its features
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the broader gaming landscape beyond mobile

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,200 and $193,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
