Job Description
- The person in this role will primarily support the development and continuous operation of the global strategic financial solution RDE (Revenue Decision Engine), working closely with the Group Revenue Recognition team to ensure alignment with global policies.
- As a global expert in billing and revenue processes, you will coordinate projects and collaborate with regional businesses, financial teams, and IT specialists to improve processes, solutions, and system capabilities, aligned with global strategy and standards.
- Candidates are required to have skills in both business analysis and project management, with a good understanding of key financial processes and experience in financial functions within a multinational company.
Why this role is essential for us
- The selected person will play a key role in the management, implementation, and support of the global strategic financial solution – RDE (Revenue Decision Engine). This includes the management and support of RDE 2.0, as well as driving continuous development and delivery of improvements and new modules/capabilities. They will also provide support for other global financial priorities as needed, including, but not limited to, billing, fast close, integrations with the Enterprise Data Lake, and alignment with other business solutions and processes.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate closely with business/finance users and functional experts to understand and document billing and revenue recognition requirements, ensuring alignment with existing global systems and processes.
- Propose the best way to implement business requirements and processes, including process documentation, strategic documents, gap analysis, and best practice guides, as well as efficient solutions that meet business needs.
- Translate business needs into actionable system developments, applying global standard operating procedures and a control mindset.
- Propose and document process and commercial standardizations that enable simpler automated solutions and processes. Help document best practices and provide continuous business support in billing and revenue processes and functionalities.
- Participate in the design of global solutions, leveraging existing system capabilities and processes, maintaining global standards, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and legislation. Be an advocate for global solution standardization.
- Review and/or prepare and present formal change requests through the PET Log and Service Now process, explaining such requests to change review boards or other governance bodies as needed.
- Proactively monitor and report on RDE standard adoption metrics, supporting group and regional teams in remediating non-compliant areas. Continuously enrich metrics for better insights.
- Support and coordinate with regional teams, business/finance users, and management in preparing business cases, option proposals for project approval and funding, prioritizing objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with agreed global strategy and standards.
- Lead the monthly RDE Change Board, presenting change requests, incident learnings, and actions taken to improve the adoption of standard operating procedures.
- Prepare appropriate project plans, monitor and manage development or project milestones, priorities, and progress to ensure timely deliveries, providing regular updates to management and key stakeholders, and escalating issues when necessary to maintain deadlines.
- Ensure good project governance, maintaining project plans, documentation, records, and files, including formal approvals of business requirements and, if applicable, business cases, as well as user acceptance testing and approvals for production release.
- Proactively recommend process improvements and automation opportunities, initiating continuous improvement actions or projects.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent in a related field of study.
- More than 5 years of experience in financial or finance-related functions, and/or in financial processes and projects within a large-scale multinational organization.
- Project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE II, with proven project management experience (desirable).
- Lean Six Sigma certification would also be an advantage.
