As the Head of Product Ecosystem Operations, you will be responsible for evolving and executing Databricks’ next-generation Product Ecosystem strategy for ISVs and Data Providers. You will be the “right hand” of the SVP, Product Ecosystem & Partnerships, working across both external (partners and customers) and internal (partner management, product, engineering, sales, marketing) stakeholders to gather input and define/continuously refine our next-generation Product Ecosystem strategy, including the end-to-end experience for ISVs and Data Providers across the co-build, co-market, and co-sell flywheel, develop scalable programs to enable our global field organization, build and operate a “scale managed” program to efficiently onboard, validate, and grow the long-tail of partners, and manage/grow the team(s) responsible for operating our Marketplace onboarding, support, and operations. This job is fast-paced, cross-functional, and requires strong communication, prioritization, organization, and presentation skills. You must have deep subject matter expertise in large-scale technology ecosystems, backed by at least a decade of experience of ecosystem development for fast-growing technology platform companies (ideally the hyperscalers). You also must be able to quickly change contexts and go toe-to-toe with the world’s sharpest product, engineering, and GTM stakeholders. And, you’ll do all of this with a scrappy and entrepreneurial spirit, as we optimize toward lean builders who can deliver high-quality programs that our business will depend on for decades.
The impact you will have:
- Develop and execute the next-generation Product Ecosystem strategy for ISVs and Data Providers, aligning with Databricks' mission and long-range plan.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with partner management, product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to set, refine, and execute strategy.
- Design and implement scalable enablement programs to educate and empower the multi-thousand-person field team on ecosystem initiatives.
- Build and operate a "scale managed" program to efficiently onboard and validate a broad range of partners, ensuring we never compromise quality for customers.
- Manage teams responsible for Product Ecosystem programs, including partner onboarding and Marketplace Operations, ensuring operational excellence.
- Analyze and synthesize data from various sources, such as customer and partner feedback, product usage, and adoption metrics, to inform decision-making.
- Build and maintain user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to surface key metrics and trends to stakeholders.
- Influence product and engineering decisions by providing data-driven insights and qualitative analysis to enhance the customer experience.
- Track and communicate the measurement of key results for annual objectives, tracking progress, and aligning stakeholders.
- Be the “right hand” of SVP, Product Ecosystem & Partnerships to scale thought leadership and execution across Databricks and the ecosystem.
What we look for:
- 10+ years of experience in ecosystem development or product operations within fast-growing technology platform companies, preferably hyperscalers.
- Proven track record of developing and executing large-scale ecosystem strategies and programs.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in developing first-principles and data-driven business cases and strategic plans using a variety of tools (e.g., Excel, Sheets, LLMs).
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Salesforce, PowerBI, or Data Studio.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of distilling complex analyses into clear messaging for executives and stakeholders.
- Experience working with customer-facing support systems, including in-app help centers, customer case & form submission flows, and self-help features.
- Demonstrated ability to lead update syncs and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Entrepreneurial, "can-do" attitude, with the ability to make an impact in a start-up environment and adapt to changing contexts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
**Most of all, we look for relentless problem solvers and will consider candidates with non-traditional backgrounds.
