Rolls-Royce Solutions Liège (RRSL) is seeking an HSE Coordinator (M/F/X) for a full-time position. The role involves creating, implementing, supporting, and following up on local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and activities. This position is crucial for driving sustainability objectives and achieving the EHS vision of zero injuries, zero waste, and zero harm. The HSE Coordinator will actively support EHS initiatives in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with global and local strategies, legal requirements, and company expectations. Responsibilities include advising on EHS matters, fostering a strong EHS culture, maintaining the EHS management system, conducting training, leading EHS compliance, coordinating the Health & Safety Committee, investigating incidents, managing risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement in EHS activities.
Must have:
  • High School education
  • Formal certified education in Occupational Health and Safety
  • 5 to 10 years experience in HSE function
  • Industrial experience as EHS practitioner
  • Experienced in auditing
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Goal orientation
  • Teamwork and co-operation
  • Work planning and organization
  • General IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Rigorous
  • Project Management

For our office in Grace-Hollogne (Liège), Belgium, we are looking for:

​HSE Coordinator (M/F/X), Full Time

The HSE Coordinator is responsible to create, implement, support and follow up of the local EHS programs and activities.

As part of our overall sustainability strategic roadmap, this position plays a critical role in driving our sustainability objectives and targets to achieve our EHS vision of zero injuries, zero waste, and zero harm.

The HSE Coordinator will actively support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental initiatives in close collaboration with other departments and key stakeholders across the organization.

Function and responsibilities

The HSE Coordinator will have following responsibilities:

  • Support the business in achieving EHS goals & objectives in line with global and local strategies.
  • Define, implement, check and provide advice on all EHS matters in order to meet all legal and other requirements.
  • Support all levels in the organization in EHS matters in order to ensure compliance, understanding and involvement.
  • Assist in the development of a wide EHS culture for all employees, on all levels in line with the corporate EHS guidelines.
  • Maintain a sustainable and pertinent EHS management system.
  • Perform training in EHS matters in order to secure, maintain and improve the competence of the organization.
  • Lead all EHS compliance requirements in line with legislative, regulatory, and company expectations.
  • Ensure coordination of the Health & Safety Committee (CPPT)
  • Guarantee all incidents are investigated in due course and administered properly, check that appropriate countermeasures are applied to remove the risk of reoccurrence.
  • Promote and manage risk assessment on all workstations and for all employees.
  • Drive EHS activities as part of continuous improvement (KPI / action plans).
  • Promote a good EHS understanding in the organization in order to achieve the EHS strategy/program, policies and objectives.

Profile

Education

  • High School education
  • Formal certified education in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • 5 to 10 years experience in the same function.
  • Industrial experience as EHS practitioner
  • Experienced in auditing

Skills

  • English (average level) / French (good level)
