Job Description

The Immigration Consultant will manage and oversee Deel’s global mobility programs, ensuring seamless and compliant relocation and international assignment processes for employees worldwide. This role involves ensuring smooth transitions, compliance with tax, legal, and immigration requirements across various jurisdictions, tracking policies, and offering expert advice on relocation issues. The consultant will contribute to attracting and retaining top global talent by ensuring people get paid and protected, no matter where they are.

Must Have:
  • Ensure timely, accurate case completion per SLAs.
  • Coordinate calls, consultations, and interviews.
  • Deliver outstanding client service via clear, proactive communication.
  • Maintain compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
  • Manage daily EOR tasks, including right-to-work assessments.
  • Submit immigration applications to local authorities.
  • Liaise with local providers and government authorities for solutions.
  • Provide support to EORs and clients on mobility questions.
  • Manage full mobility lifecycle for non-nationals (work authorization, visas, renewals, cancellations).
  • Ensure quality of mobility operations in assigned countries.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Possess 8-10 years of progressive mobility experience.
  • Have 2-3 years experience as an Immigration Consultant.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of key immigration categories.
  • Be fluent in English.
  • Interpret and communicate immigration policies and processes effectively.

Summary

The Immigration Consultant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s global mobility programs, ensuring seamless and compliant relocation and international assignment processes for Deel’s employees worldwide. You will ensure that employees who are relocating or on international assignments have a smooth transition, while also ensuring compliance with tax, legal, and immigration requirements in various jurisdictions. Your role will also involve tracking policies, ensuring compliance, and offering expert advice on relocation issues while contributing to Deel's ability to attract and retain top global talent.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate case completion in alignment with SLAs and internal quality standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule calls, consultations, interviews
  • Deliver outstanding client service through clear, professional communication and proactive case management.
  • Ensuring and maintaining compliance in their assigned country in accordance with relevant immigration laws and regulations, operational rules, and RACI.
  • Contributing to mobility product planning and scoping.
  • Participating in the initial levels of mobility interviews.
  • Managing daily tasks related to EORs such as assessing right-to-work requirements and submitting immigration applications to the local authorities
  • Liaising with local providers and government authorities to provide solutions to complex immigration matters
  • Providing support to EORs and clients for mobility-related questions or concerns through all available communication channels.
  • Managing the entire mobility lifecycle for non nationals including worth authorization check, visa processing, renewals and cancellations.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of the mobility operations in the assigned countries
  • Work on special projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of progressive mobility experience, with at least 2-3 years as an Immigration Consultant or similar roles
  • Ideally law degree or similar field or paralegal
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong knowledge of the key immigration categories
  • Excellent communication and the ability to find solutions under pressure, with thoughtful people management and mentorship skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate immigration policies and processes
