Must have:
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT or Consulting with focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling.
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes: Policy Lifecycle, Claims Lifecycle, Underwriting & Risk Assessment, Commission & Distribution Management, Billing, Regulatory and Statutory Reporting.
  • Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation.
  • Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures.
  • Familiarity with data modelling techniques like Normalization.
  • Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of overall experience in IT or Consulting, with a strong focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling
  • Strong understanding of one or more of the following insurance processes
  • Policy Lifecycle (Issuance, Renewals, Cancellations)
  • Claims Lifecycle (FNOL, Adjudication, Settlement, Recoveries)
  • Underwriting & Risk Assessment
  • Commission & Distribution Management
  • Billing
  • Regulatory and Statutory Reporting
  • Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation
  • Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation
  • Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures
  • Familiarity with both modelling techniques like Normalization etc.
  • Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

  • Experience working on insurance core systems like Guidewire etc.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry (e.g, IFRS 17)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure etc.
  • Basic familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI,
  • Insurance certifications (e.g., LOMA, III) are a plus
