The Incident Manager at Google Play, Trust and Safety will triage, manage, and respond to security and privacy incidents. This role leads cross-functional responses to high-priority escalations, including executive communications and collaborating with various teams (Legal, Engineering, Communications). Responsibilities include conducting post-mortems, managing projects, and performing on-call duties. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, or related fields, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Exposure to sensitive content is expected.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Triage, manage and respond to security and privacy incidents.
  • Lead cross-functional response to particularly sensitive, high priority escalations, including sending executive communications, leading meetings with senior stakeholders, driving towards decision making across teams (Legal, Engineering, Communications etc.), and centralizing information from different sources.
  • Manage or assist in conducting post mortems and incident reviews to capture lessons-learned and needed improvements to existing policy or enforcement processes, and ensure follow-up and closure for any action items identified.
  • Manage multiple projects of moderate to high complexity and scope.
  • Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage. This role works with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.
