Nasdaq's North American Markets Services Sales group is seeking an Index Derivatives Salesperson to join their team. This role focuses on growing institutional and retail participation in the expanding Nasdaq Index Options market, which includes the Nasdaq-100® Index Option (NDX) and Nasdaq-100® Micro Index Options (XND). The position involves leading sales, retention, and marketing initiatives to drive revenue and business growth with new and existing clients. It requires proactive engagement at industry events and strong relationship-building skills.
Must have:
  • Reviews and leads all aspects of key areas of opportunity in the market.
  • Prioritizes development of sales, retention, and marketing initiatives.
  • Supports growth of the Nasdaq-100® suite of index options (NDX & XND).
  • Drives revenue and generates business with new and existing clients.
  • Guides others in executing the business unit’s short- and long-term sales strategy.
  • Interacts with customers/prospects within own territory.
  • Proactive at industry events and conferences for building relationships and developing new business.
  • Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer’s senior management.
  • Takes ownership of problem resolution, raises customer issues if needed.
  • Proactively drives implementation of products and coordinates communication, maintenance, and new development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales.
  • 10+ years of sales environment in the financial markets.

Job Details

Nasdaq's North American Markets Services Sales group is responsible for its Equities, Options, and Index Options products. The Nasdaq Index Options product suite currently comprises the Nasdaq-100® Index Option (NDX) and the Nasdaq-100® Micro Index Options (XND). We are looking for our next Index Derivatives Salesperson to join our team and help grow institutional and retail participation in this expanding market.

This position can be located in New York, Philadelphia or Chicago and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and leads all aspects of key areas of opportunity in the market. Prioritizes development of sales, retention, and marketing initiatives that support growth of the Nasdaq-100® suite of index options (NDX & XND) – ultimately driving revenue and generating business with new clients as well as with existing clients.
  • Guides others in executing the business unit’s short- and long-term sales strategy; interacts with customers/prospects within own territory.
  • Is proactive at industry events and other conferences at building relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer’s senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization’s product/service strategies.
  • Takes ownership of problem resolution, raises customer issues if needed
  • Proactively drives implementation of products and coordinates communication, maintenance and new development across Nasdaq relevant business units.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales
  • 10+ years of sales environment in the financial markets

The base pay range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
