Job Summary
Dinosaur Polo Club, an award-winning video game studio in Wellington, New Zealand, is seeking an intermediate or junior programmer to join their team. The role involves designing and implementing game systems, collaborating with other departments, participating in code reviews, and resolving bugs. Must Have
- Design and implement systems in game titles.
- Liaise with the other departments to ensure robust understanding of implementation requirements.
- Regularly take part in code reviews, both offering and responding to feedback from your peers.
- Work alongside our community management and QA departments, tracking and resolving bugs to support our players.
- Provide feedback on the studio’s workflow, tools, and technical direction.
- Share knowledge with other team members.
- Be a part of both a department and studio team, actively seeking to develop a method of communicating that is understandable to those outside of your immediate department.
- 3+ years working in a programming role in games or software development.
- Confidence and experience with Unity and C#.
- Experience working through different stages of a project lifecycle.
- Good personal organisational skills and initiative.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.
- An interest in developing unique and high-quality video games.
- Dedication to working in a professional, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Job Description
About the role:
Permanent full-time on-site in Wellington, NZ – 32 hours per week – $81,000- 97,500 based on experience.
We’re Dinosaur Polo Club, an award-winning video game studio of thirty lovely people making games in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. Mini Metro and Mini Motorways are our released games, and we continue to support them. We are also working on new games which are at various stages of development. We’re looking for an intermediate programmer, or a junior programmer ready to step up to join our team to work on one of these games.
What you'll do in this role:
