Internship for Ramboll Management Consulting, Organizational Transformation & Change

Are you looking to shape a more sustainable future and contribute to building robust societies equipped for future challenges? Are you curious about how data, analysis, and strategic thinking can create real change in both the public and private sectors?

Then join our journey to become a globally leading consulting firm in sustainability and strategy, where openness, collaboration, and professional development are central.

Your New Team

You will work with a small team of experienced consultants and leaders with many years of combined experience in and with consulting for businesses and public organizations. Our focus is on promoting a more robust and sustainable society for all by helping organizations, processes, and major development projects function better. We develop and deliver tailored services to help each client organization take their next step. Our clients include private companies, energy companies, pension funds, municipalities, and government agencies – often in collaboration with colleagues from other parts of Ramboll in areas such as Energy, Transport, and Buildings. We also frequently collaborate with colleagues focused on digital transformation, ESG, and social impact analyses. We do this primarily through:

  • Organizational development, creating organizational cultures where people can thrive, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, as well as leadership development
  • Delivery of program management services, including facilitating collaboration on complex projects between various stakeholders and suppliers/contractors
  • Change management, supporting organizations in implementing new ways of working with readiness assessment, communication, and training

As an intern at Ramboll Management Consulting, you will be part of a dynamic team working with everything from strategy, sustainability, and M&A to public policy, organizational development, and business development. You will contribute to projects involving data collection, stakeholder analyses, impact assessments, and implementation plans, gaining practical experience with the methods and tools characteristic of modern consulting work.

We seek students from many different fields, for example, economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, law, public administration, environmental studies, and business economics. Regardless of whether your interest lies in social sustainability, green transition, circular economy, labor market conditions, health systems, or climate adaptation, there is room for your perspective with us.

We work across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, construction, industry, waste, and water. We advise municipalities, ministries, NGOs, and private companies, delivering integrated solutions that combine deep sustainability knowledge with strategic insight. From policy evaluations to financial advisory and ESG strategies, we offer our clients a single point of entry to navigate complexity and create real impact.

We value continuous learning and a strong collaborative culture, and we also want to learn from your perspective.

Your New Role:

We will ask you to collaborate throughout the project lifecycle with us by:

  • Participating in and supporting the drafting and writing of sales proposals and bids
  • Contributing to the planning and facilitation of engagements with clients, including workshops and training sessions
  • Planning and assisting in the collection and analysis of focus group and organizational data
  • Preparing and analyzing organizational readiness and needs assessments
  • Assisting in project management through process planning, summaries from meetings/workshops, and communication with clients and partners.

About You

From the moment you start at Ramboll Management Consulting, we are dedicated to supporting your personal and professional development – so you can grow and thrive with us. While we look forward to contributing to your learning, we have identified a number of qualifications and competencies that will help you succeed in the role.

We are looking for a profile that:

  • Is currently pursuing or about to start higher education – typically in business economics, economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, law, sustainability, engineering, public administration, or other social science disciplines
  • Is among the best in your studies
  • Has relevant experience from student jobs, internships, volunteer work, or other activities
  • Has a structured approach and strong analytical and conceptual abilities
  • Can think strategically, work with high abstraction, and empathize with the client
  • Thrives with independent work but actively contributes to the team
  • Is proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for conveying insights and structuring deliverables
  • Possesses professional level English proficiency (Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement)
  • We value diverse professional and personal perspectives – whether you are passionate about data analysis, policy evaluation, behavioral insights, or sustainability strategy – and believe that this diversity strengthens our advice and creates real value for our clients.
