Must Have

About the department
Economics is part of Rambøll Management Consulting. We specialize in socio-economic, statistical, and econometric analyses that inform and support sustainable decisions and investments for both private companies and public authorities. We particularly specialize in:
- Socio-economic analyses and impact assessments
- Statistical and econometric modeling
- Valuation of non-monetizable or complex values
- Ex-ante calculations, cost-benefit analyses, scenario analyses, forecasting, and business cases
- Ex-post evaluations of policy, initiatives, or investments
And work closely with Rambøll's many experts in energy and supply, infrastructure, transport and mobility, environment and health, cities and the built environment, and social sustainability.
As an intern at Ramboll Management Consulting, you will be part of a dynamic team that works with everything from strategy, sustainability, and M&A to public policy, organizational development, and business development. You will contribute to projects involving data collection, stakeholder analyses, impact assessments, and implementation plans, and gain practical experience with the methods and tools that characterize modern consulting work.
We are looking for students from many different fields, for example, economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, law, public administration, environmental studies, and business economics. Regardless of whether your interest lies in social sustainability, green transition, circular economy, labor market conditions, health systems, or climate adaptation, there is room for your perspective with us.
We work across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, construction, industry, waste, and water. We advise municipalities, ministries, NGOs, and private companies, delivering integrated solutions that combine deep sustainability knowledge with strategic insight. From policy evaluations to financial advisory and ESG strategies, we offer our clients a single point of entry to navigate complexity and create real impact.
About the role
As an intern in Economics, you will be assigned to several projects, where you will be a fixed and central part of a number of project teams – also across Rambøll's other departments. Your most important tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Econometric and statistical analyses
- Setting up Excel models and interactive dashboards
- Data processing and data cleaning of registry and/or survey data
- Socio-economic analyses and assessments of major public projects or policy initiatives (both local and regional economic analyses)
- Planning and assistance in data collection
- Reporting and dissemination of analysis results in various formats (e.g., reports, inspiration catalogs, and presentations)

- Has a structured approach and strong analytical and conceptual abilities
- Can think strategically, work with high abstraction, and put oneself in the customer's shoes
- Thrives with independent work, but actively contributes to the team
- Is proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel to communicate insights and structure deliverables
- Is proficient in English at a professional level (Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement)
