Job Summary
Join Playstack, a company that champions originality and innovation in indie games. As an Associate Gameplay Scripter at Magic Fuel Games, you will collaborate with the team to implement new features, systems, and content, working closely with artists, animators, and the Narrative team. You will also engage with players to incorporate feedback, contributing to top-class, globally appealing games.
Must Have
- A recent college graduate from a game design program or someone with at least one year of game design experience
- An avid gamer who aspires to become a professional game designer
- Eager to learn from experienced industry professionals
- A creative thinker with high energy and a positive, collaborative attitude
- Passionate about games: playing them, analysing them, and building them
- Authorized to work in your country of residence
- Experience bringing designs to life using common Unity editors
- Coursework or working knowledge of visual design, including Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, with a solid grasp of basic graphic design principles
- Experience implementing in-game content
- Comfort working with collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA, and Confluence
- A strong understanding of the simulation game genre and its competitive landscape
Good to Have
- Coursework or experience in User Experience (UX), including user research, wireframing, and iteration
- Coursework or experience in Systems Design
- Experience with game development tools such as Unity, Unreal, GameMaker, Processing, or similar

💡 How You’ll Contribute
- Collaborate with the team to implement new features, systems, and content.
- Work closely with artists and animators to bring game objects and mechanics to life.
- Ensure UI elements are implemented correctly according to UX specifications.
- Partner with the Narrative team to align gameplay with story elements.
- Engage with players and the community to understand priorities and incorporate feedback.
🎨 What You’ll Need
- Experience bringing designs to life using common Unity editors.
