At Ramboll Management Consulting’s Economics team, we work to expand the understanding of what creates value and how to document it. We are looking for an economist with strong analytical skills and an interest in complex issues and long-term solutions.

About the Service Practice

Sustainable Economics is part of Ramboll Management Consulting and consists of a dedicated team with expertise in economic, statistical, and socio-economic analyses. We collaborate with public and private stakeholders – from companies and investors to ministries and authorities – and deliver analyses that strengthen decision-making, document effects, and highlight value.

We work with:

  • Socio-economic impact assessments and analyses
  • Econometric models and statistical analyses
  • Valuations of complex or non-market-based conditions
  • Business cases, scenario analyses, and cost-benefit models
  • Evaluations and impact measurements of policies, initiatives, and investments

We work closely with experts from Ramboll, for example, in energy, climate, environment, transport and infrastructure, health, and urban development – and we manage and supervise Danish and international projects.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and analytically strong economist who wants to deliver high-quality analyses and develop our methods and services. You will be part of a team with ambitions, great development opportunities, and a strong professional and social culture. You will have the opportunity to work on complex issues that help solve society’s current challenges – from green transition to social sustainability. Moreover, we offer a dynamic consulting environment where you can take responsibility from day one and work closely with experts across disciplines.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Conducting socio-economic and econometric analyses
  • Quantifying and documenting economic, social, and environmental effects
  • Contributing to the development of models, methods, and new analytical approaches
  • Communicating results clearly to clients and decision-makers
  • Strategic advice based on analyses that help clients make informed decisions
  • Collaborating across disciplines and participating in proposal work and market development

Who are you?

  • You have a background in economics and possess strong analytical skills and a sharp professional profile – ideally, you hold an MSc in Economics, Finance, or similar
  • You may be newly graduated or have more experience (5+ years or 10+ years)
  • You speak fluent English, as we are an international consulting house – Danish skills are not required, but will be an advantage
  • You are motivated by working in a dynamic consulting environment where the pace is high, and the learning curve is steep
  • You are passionate about using data and economic models to create lasting changes in society
  • You are skilled at communicating complex analyses in an easily understandable way
  • You are a team player who contributes to a motivating and engaging work environment, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are in focus

We offer:

  • A unique opportunity to work on exciting and interdisciplinary projects within the green transition, where your economics expertise is central
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment where we invest in your development through sparring, learning, and responsibility
  • Flexible working conditions that give you the freedom to balance work and leisure
  • A strong professional and social community, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement are in focus
  • The opportunity to work on current and relevant projects, close to decision-makers and with real influence on sustainable solutions
