Job Summary

As the Lead Economy & Game Designer, you will be responsible for shaping the economy and gameplay systems of Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem. You will ensure a balance between engaging progression, sustainable monetization, and deep, satisfying systems that keep players returning over a long lifecycle. This is a senior role requiring strong collaboration, systems thinking, and a deep understanding of the mobile F2P space.

Must Have

  • Design and optimize in-game economies (currencies, pricing, progression paths)
  • Conduct segmentation analysis and craft economy models
  • Define economy KPIs and build mathematical models & simulations
  • Own feature development from pitch to live operation
  • Understand and own back-end Admin tool for game configurations
  • Design, implement, and balance new features and systems (Combat, Player progression, Game Modes)
  • Lead design of tools and workflows for scalable live operations
  • Generate clear feature documentation, user flows, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes
  • Analyze game data and player behavior to iterate live features
  • Collaborate with product, engineers, artists, LiveOps
  • Mentor and support junior designers on economy and systems design best practices
  • Influence product roadmap with innovative, data-informed design proposals
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile F2P game design with a focus on economy and systems design
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting game features, systems, and economies on at least one shipped live-operated game (preferably RPG or strategy-based)
  • Experience modelling/maintaining complex Economies (MMO, Strategy-MMO, RPG)
  • Ability to simulate and prototype progression systems in Excel
  • Familiarity with Unity
  • Strong game balance instincts paired with quantitative & analytical decision-making
  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Economics, Statistics, or related field

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of live-ops tooling and event planning systems
  • Familiarity with Looney Tunes IP and a passion for character-based RPGs
  • Experience mentoring or leading small design teams

Scopely is looking for a Lead Economy and Systems Designer to join the Looney Tunes game team. The position can be based in India (preferably Bangalore) or Tel Aviv, Israel or Barcelona, Spain.

What You Will Do

As the Lead Economy & Game Designer, you will be responsible for shaping the economy and gameplay systems of Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem. You will ensure a balance between engaging progression, sustainable monetization, and deep, satisfying systems that keep players returning over a long lifecycle. This is a senior role requiring strong collaboration, systems thinking, and a deep understanding of the mobile F2P space.

  • Economy & Progression Design
  • Design and optimize in-game economies - including currencies, pricing models, existing systems, upcoming features, and progression paths - from early player onboarding through elder player end-game - to drive long-term engagement and maximize revenue
  • Conduct segmentation analysis and craft economy models tailored to different user archetypes and LTV tiers
  • ​​Define economy KPIs and build mathematical models & simulations to monitor, predict and validate the impact of features on game balance and player behavior
  • Game Design Leadership
  • Own feature development from pitch to live operation
  • Gain complete understanding and ownership of back-end Admin tool for game configurations
  • Design, implement and balance new features and systems: Combat systems, Player progression, Game Modes and feature loops
  • Lead the design of tools and workflows that enable scalable live operations and event-driven gameplay
  • Generate clear feature documentation, user flows, diagrams, wireframes, and/or prototypes for new features and systems
  • Analyze game data and player behavior to iterate and evolve live features
  • Collaboration & Strategy
  • Collaborate with the product team, Engineers, Artists & LiveOps to design the optimal daily experience for our players, and deliver impactful features
  • Mentor and support junior designers on economy and systems design best practices
  • Influence the product roadmap with innovative, data-informed design proposals

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile F2P game design with a focus on economy and systems design
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting game features, systems, and economies on at least one shipped live-operated game, preferably RPG or strategy-based
  • Experience modelling/maintaining complex Economies (MMO, Strategy-MMO, RPG)
  • Ability to simulate and prototype progression systems in Excel, and familiarity with Unity
