They are seeking a mid-level Game Designer generalist who combines technical skills with creative flair, understands great features, and is eager to learn. The role involves implementing features and missions, resolving design issues, contributing to documentation, and championing design from conception to completion.
Must Have
- Implement features and missions throughout their lifecycle; designing, planning, scripting, prototyping, iterating and balancing
- Identify and resolve design-related issues to drive quality and ensure the best possible player experience
- Participate in the production process; creating and contributing to documentation as well as maintaining and developing best practices
- Champion design from conception to completion
- Broad understanding of games across a wide range of genres, especially narrative driven games
- Experience using Unreal Engine over at least one complete development cycle
- Experience with prototyping and responsive iteration and balancing
- Understanding of player focussed game flow, loops and structure
- Strong understanding of player psychology, player motivations and how and when to apply them
- Excellent communications skills; ability to present your ideas clearly in written form, using visual aids where appropriate
- A disciplined approach to workflow and the development process
- Able to confidently work with other teams and disciplines
Good to Have
- Experience implementing narrative, missions and quests
- Understanding of user experience design principles
- Experience in more than one commercial or in-house game engine
- Level design experience
- Comfortable with reading code

In 2021 the company created their first original IP, 'Bright Paw', which was published on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One/Series S/X, Google and iOS by Rogue Games. We are currently working on our newest IP, Southfield, which you can look forward to playing soon!!

Your Mission
The company is looking for a mid-level, game design generalist. The ideal candidate will combine technical skills with creative flair; understanding of what makes a great feature and how to implement it. They’ll be eager to continue learning and to develop new skills as required.
Responsibilities

This role can be fully remote within the UK.
We will require all applicants to have a pre-existing right to work in the UK.
The role will initially be a 12 month Fixed Term contract with the potential to extend after this.
