Job Summary
Ramboll France is seeking a Senior EHS Auditor Consultant for its Compliance, Strategy and Transaction (CST) department. The role involves conducting EHS regulatory compliance audits for international industrial clients, assessing and ensuring their sites meet applicable EHS requirements. This position offers exposure to diverse industrial processes and corporate cultures, focusing on identifying EHS risks, regulatory requirements, and implementing corrective measures. The consultant will be based in Aix-en-Provence, Vaulx-en-Velin, Bordeaux, or Paris, with potential for remote work.
Must Have
- Conduct EHS regulatory compliance audits (Environment-Hygiene-Safety-Energy).
- Perform other EHS missions, consulting, and audits: Due-Diligence, EHS management systems, safety culture and procedures.
- Travel for missions lasting 1 to 5 days.
- Hold a Bac +5 degree (Engineering or Master 2 in occupational health and safety and Environment).
- Possess a minimum of 10 years of successful experience in a highly involved EHS role.
- Have excellent knowledge of applicable industrial legislation (ICPE, Seveso, Environmental Code, Energy Code, Labor Code, Public Health Code).
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Possess a valid B driving license.
Good to Have
- Experience in implementing or auditing ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience in developing legal registers and EHS regulatory databases.
- Ability to lead EHS training sessions.

We are looking for a Senior EHS Auditor Consultant on a permanent contract (CDI) to join our Compliance, Strategy and Transaction (CST) department, which includes EHS, Industrial Risks & Due Diligence professions.
Our international industrial clients call on Ramboll to assist them, in each country where they operate, to evaluate and bring their industrial sites into compliance with the applicable EHS regulatory requirements.
Through these missions, you will have the opportunity to understand a diversity of industrial processes (heavy industries, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive and aerospace subcontractors, data centers, etc.) and a diversity of corporate cultures. In a context where EHS regulations have become increasingly complex over the years, you will collaborate with clients to identify the EHS risks of their activities, identify the applicable regulatory requirements and gaps, and evaluate the implementation methods for corrective measures.
Your main missions:
- Conduct EHS regulatory compliance audits (Environment-Hygiene-Safety-Energy).
- Perform other EHS missions, consulting, and audits: Due-Diligence, EHS management systems, safety culture and procedures.
These missions will involve travel of varying durations from 1 to 5 days.
You will be based in Aix-en-Provence, Vaulx-en-Velin, Bordeaux, or Paris, with the possibility of remote work according to the telework charter.
You will have executive status.
The mission may be expanded depending on the candidate's profile and our needs.
- Drafting commercial proposals and managing client relationships.
- EHS assistance and consulting for our clients.
- Creation and delivery of EHS training modules (Safety Culture, etc.).
- Participation in the realization of ICPE regulatory studies and dossiers (Porter à Connaissance (PAC), Dossier de Demande d’Autorisation d’Exploiter (DDAE), Impact Study, Hazard Study (EDD)).
- Supervision of junior consultants.
Required skills:
To apply for this position, you must have a Bac +5 degree (Engineering diploma or Master 2 in occupational health and safety and Environment) with a successful first experience (minimum 10 years) in a highly involved EHS role.
Very good knowledge of the legislation applicable to industrialists (ICPE and Seveso regulations, Environmental Code, Energy Code, Labor Code, Public Health Code) and its operational application on sites are essential.
For this position, you must also be fluent in written and spoken English (deliverables to be written in English or French depending on clients) and demonstrate:
- Communication qualities appropriate for auditing/consulting to foster a climate of trust, listening, and sharing;
- Rigor and perseverance to evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Rigor and synthesis skills to write audit reports.
- Good written expression and presentation skills; to present mission conclusions in writing and orally.
- Autonomy, while being able to work for and within a team.
- Organizational and deadline management skills.
- Availability for travel of 1 to 5 days for at least 1/3 of working time.
Valid B driving license required.
Optional but appreciated skills:
- Experience in implementing or auditing ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001 management systems.
