A talented and creative Internal Communications Specialist is sought for a 20-month maternity leave cover contract, starting January 2026. This role involves creating engaging content to highlight team achievements across global locations, ensuring timely and effective communication. You will draft announcements, success stories, and insights into company life, distilling complex issues for optimal understanding and engagement. Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications, you will independently develop and verify content, and support English to French translation.
Must have:
  • Extensive experience in internal communications, preferably in creative industries with international scope
  • Excellent writing, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and problem-solve independently
  • Experience in strategic development and tactical delivery of communications
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information reliably
  • Willingness to be hands-on and deliver within tight deadlines
  • Strong team player with a positive and enthusiastic approach
  • Experience interacting with senior stakeholders and junior colleagues
  • Bilingual in English and French
Good to have:
  • Experience operating within brand and tone of voice guidelines for a large organisation
  • Experience in managing change communication
  • Exposure to visual effects, feature film or TV production
  • Experience in developing and delivering creative briefs to design teams
  • A university degree or equivalent in communications, journalism or comparable studies

Job Details

A talented and creative Internal Communications Specialist is sought to join its global Marketing & Communications team on a 20 month maternity leave cover contract, starting in January 2026.

As a communications expert, you will have visibility of everything that is happening in the company’s 19 global locations across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, and will create stories and content to celebrate and spotlight the work of our talented teams. You will know the right approach to take for each communication, and will provide our teams with the right information at the right time.

You will draft and share announcements, success stories and inspiring insights into life at the company that motivate your colleagues and celebrate and promote the culture of the company. Working within our tone of voice and brand guidelines, you will quickly distill complex and sometimes sensitive issues and communicate them effectively to our teams to ensure maximum understanding and engagement.

Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications, you will develop and verify content independently and suggest new and innovative ways to share it with our global teams. You will have a deep understanding of the value of the communications that you are creating, and how they will be received by the audiences that they are intended for.

The role will also require English to French translation support for day-to-day communications for our crew.

Must Have

  • Extensive previous experience in internal communications, preferably within the creative industries and with an international remit
  • Excellent writing skills, attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and problem-solve independently
  • Experience moving seamlessly between strategic development and tactical delivery
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a trustworthy manner
  • A willingness and ability to be “hands on” and to deliver to challenging timescales
  • A great team player with an unfailingly positive and enthusiastic approach
  • Previous experience dealing with both senior stakeholders and more junior colleagues
  • Bilingual English and French

Please note that this is a unionized position and will be covered by a collective agreement between the company and IATSE, in the coming months. As a unionized employee, you will be required to join the union and will benefit from the conditions set out in the collective agreement. Union dues will be required once the collective agreement is in place.
