This internship within the People Information Systems team at Philips involves participating in various People projects focused on project management, communication, and administrative initiatives. The role offers deep insight into global People systems like Workday, ServiceNow, Cornerstone on Demand, and ADP, aligning with the global HR People Strategy. The intern will support departmental processes, conduct research, analyze data, contribute to team meetings, and assist in report preparation, gaining practical experience in a multinational environment.
Must have:
  • Studying towards a Bachelor or Master Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Data related sciences
  • Strong Excel/Data analytics skills and (academical) experience
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proactive learner
  • Fluent in English
Perks:
  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on education level and relocation needs
  • Housing compensation of €300 net (Amsterdam vicinity) or €255 net (other Philips locations) if relocating more than 50 km or 1.5 hours travel time
  • Travel compensation up to €192 net monthly allowance if not eligible for a free public transport card

Within the People Information Systems team we are looking for a talented student that will be part of several People projects, focused on project management, communication and administrative initiatives. The initiatives are in the core of People systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, Cornerstone on Demand and ADP and are connected strongly to the global HR People Strategy and processes. This is the ideal position to get deep understanding of global People systems and get practical experience within a multinational environment.

Your role:

  • Aids in the management of a dedicated departmental support process which has an indirect impact on Philips’ med-tech products (e.g. audit processes within Finance) by collaborating with different stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, demonstrating great inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Supports the day-to-day activities of a dedicated department, typically involving strategic, operational and/or administrative tasks etc. to meet dynamic environment and continuous improvement goals, exercising autonomy within established procedures.
  • Conducts research on relevant topics and areas as requested by the manager/supervisor by investigating current trends, industry best practices and competitive landscape to provide comprehensive insights and support the strategic direction of ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Analyzes data related to departmental projects as requested by the manager/supervisor, identifying significant trends, patterns, and anomalies, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Participates in team meetings, contributing innovative ideas and strategic input, while also capturing detailed minutes that accurately reflect discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring effective communication and follow-up within the team.
  • Assists in preparation and presentation of reports or findings for internal and external stakeholders as required by manager/supervisor, ensuring that all findings are presented with utmost accuracy and clarity.
  • Organizes and maintains departmental documentation and files by systematically categorizing and filing records, reports, and other essential documents to ensure they are easily accessible and retrievable, thereby enhancing the department's operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of industry trends, developments, and best practices and learns technical skills related to industry, exhibiting a commercial and growth mindset.

  • You are studying towards your Bachelor or Master Degree in: Human Resources, Business Administration, or Data related sciences
  • You have strong Excel/Data analytics skills and (academical) experience
  • You have strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • You are a proactive learner and you are fluent in English

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

In return, we offer you

A non-stop growth opportunity within a global multinational company. IN addition, we also want to remunerate you well for the opportunity. This includes:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip).
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
