Responsibilities:

Perform a wide variety of advanced skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical and/or electrical equipment with specific focus in assigned trade; Operate a variety of equipment and machinery including saws, drill presses and various hand and power tools to perform repair and maintenance work. Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches and work orders to effectively perform maintenance activities.
  • Maintain and repair all equipment located and connected to the Plant operations
  • Maintain and repair diesel engines and generators
  • Adjust electrical power supply and connect and disconnect generators to mainline
  • Maintain and repair advanced waste water and potable water systems
  • Maintain and repair all bunkering equipment such as pumps, pipe line, valves, etc.
  • Promote a safe work environment; Complies with the safety competencies, and all company policies and procedures
  • This is a field service position that may include work from ladders, elevated platforms as well as working in confined spaces
  • May provide lateral service to other departments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the Bahamas
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience as Plant Operator; Waste water treatment and potable water plant experience required; Must have previous experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical power production systems, diesel and gasoline engines; Diploma or certificate supporting training as a Plant Operator and maintaining and repairing diesel engines

Additional Information:

This role is based on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.
