ABOUT THIS POSITION
LOCATION: HYBRID (2-3 days in office). This position is located in any of these cities: Mountainview, CA OR Houston, TX OR Arlington, VA OR Alpharetta, GA
Are you an experienced leader with a deep understanding of BESS or EPC project execution, financial control, and project management systems like Oracle Primavera Unifier and P6, and/or SAP Project Systems (PS)? Are you ready to drive digital transformation at a global energy leader that is transforming the way we power the world? If so, this role is for you.
At Fluence, we’re seeking an IT Director - Projects Platform to lead the strategy, development, and support of critical platforms that drive our project execution and financial management. As a Product Owner for Oracle Primavera Unifier and P6, Procore, and SAP Project Systems (PS), you’ll collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, including Regional CFOs and VPs of Project Execution, to deliver solutions that optimize project workflows, financial controls, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
•Platform Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive IT strategy for our projects platform that aligns with the evolving needs of our global energy storage solutions business.
•Product Ownership: Act as the Primavera Unifier and P6, Procore and SAP Project Systems (PS) Product Owner, ensuring these platforms deliver the tools needed for successful project execution and financial oversight.
•Business Stakeholder Management: Partner with Regional CFOs and VPs of Project Execution to ensure the platform meets their requirements, driving project performance and financial visibility.
•Application Configuration & Support: Oversee the development, integration, and maintenance of applications while leading a team of technical experts to support business operations effectively.
•Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of BSAs and interacting with developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- Over 10 years of experience in project financial control and execution within the EPC industry is important. Battery Energy Storage industry is nice to have.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera Unifier and P6, both as a user and implementer.
- Proven success in leading IT projects that support capital project management and finance.
- The ability to effectively manage business relationships, particularly with senior stakeholders in finance and project execution.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- SAP Project Systems (PS) experience is a plus
$155,000 - $220,000 a year
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
