JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced Jira Administrator with .NET who goes beyond traditional configuration tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing custom solutions within Jira, utilizing scripting and API integrations. Additionally, proficiency in .NET is essential, as the role will transition into .NET projects following the initial Jira-focused phase.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as .NET developer and experience as Jira Administrator to be considered for this role.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop and implement custom Jira solutions using scripting languages and REST APIs.

  • Design, configure, and manage complex Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, and permission schemes.

  • Integrate Jira with other systems and tools to streamline processes.

  • Provide technical support and training to Jira users across the organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored Jira solutions.

  • Transition into .NET development projects, contributing to the design and implementation of software solutions.

  • Leverage a working knowledge of project management practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) to design Jira configurations that align with team workflows and business needs.


EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience .NET development, including C# and ASP.NET.

  • Proven experience as a Jira Administrator with hands-on development skills.

  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Groovy) and Jira REST APIs.

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Bitbucket.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.

  • Preferred: Certifications in Jira Administration or .NET development.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Have solid written and verbal English skills.

  • Ability to work with engineers in multiple countries.

  • Must have an organized and analytical working style, and the ability to plan your own work.

  • Initiative and drive to do great things.
