Turnitin is seeking a Junior Account Executive for the DACH region to promote and sell its educational integrity, assessment, and grading solutions. The role involves generating leads and closing new business within higher education, secondary education, and corporate spaces across Europe. The executive will engage with decision-makers, influencers, and users, collaborating with renewal teams, marketing, solution engineers, and sales enablement. This position requires independence, integrity, and accountability within a remote-centric culture, aiming to grow business and impact global education.

Job Description

As a member of the new business team you are responsible for the DACH region to promote and sell all our solutions in the integrity, assessment and grading space. We are a team of 5 new business sales reps and our goal is to generate leads and close new business across Europe. 

Our main target audience is education, both higher Education and Secondary Education. At the same
we are looking to expand into the corporate space.

In this role you will be talking to decision makers within the institution as well as influencers and actual users of our tools. Therefore it is relevant that you are comfortable talking to different stakeholders within the organisations.

In this role you will be working closely together with the renewal team, marketing, solution engineers,
sales enablement and many other departments. At Turnitin we expect to be part of a culture of integrity and accountability. You work independently to Grow your business while we aim to work as productively as we can using the different tolls that are made available for our entire go to market team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Identifying institutions that do not use our tools and set up a campaign to generate leads. 
  • Moving leads through the sale funnel with the goal of closing the deal. 
  • Working with the renewals team to identify cross sell opportunities for tools they are not yet using. 
  • Stay up to date on market developments when it comes to academic integrity and AI writing tools. 
  • Work with institutions to really understand their processes when it comes to policies and their challenges around academic integrity. 
  • Understand the local opportunities and challenges when data privacy. Being able to leverage that into creating opportunities. 
  • Work with marketing and peers to set up campaigns that will increase the number of leads for your region.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Speaking German is a must. 
  • Speaking English requires proficiency. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Passion for working in Ed-Tech and the education industry. 
  • This role is for people who have a couple of years of experience in a similar role and are looking to work at an industry leader. 
  • Have a customer centric mindset. 
  • Are a team player that is showing integrity. 
  • Experience in working with SFDC would be nice but not a must as this is also a role for someone seeking their first sales job. 
  • Pro-active in working with internal and external key stakeholders that will contribute to your success.
