Vacancy Highlight:
In this position, you will work in the Urban Finance and Economy area, supporting the elaboration of financial models, investment strategies, and financing structures for urban sustainability and climate resilience initiatives. You will contribute to the preparation of training materials for local governments on municipal finance, climate budgeting, and access to financing. You will conduct research on financing mechanisms, engage with financial institutions, donors, and policymakers, in addition to preparing technical reports and supporting documents. You will support the organization of events and technical training, as well as develop resource mobilization strategies for sustainable urban projects.
What you will do:

- Support the elaboration of financial models, investment strategies, and financing structures for urban sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and review training materials for local governments on municipal finance, climate budgeting, and access to financing.
- Conduct research on financing mechanisms, including climate funds, blended finance, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
- Engage with financial institutions, donors, and policymakers to foster partnerships and facilitate knowledge exchange.
- Prepare technical reports, case studies, and supporting documents for municipalities and financial institutions.
- Contribute to the mapping of financial opportunities and the development of financing roadmaps adapted to different contexts.
- Support the organization and facilitation of events, workshops, and technical training on sustainable urban financing.
- Participate in team meetings, collaborating for the development of solutions and improvement of deliverables.
What you will need:
- Education: Completed Higher Education, desirable Post-Graduation in Economic Sciences, Finance, Public Policies, Engineering, Urban Planning, Public Administration or related areas.
- Desirable Experience: 3 to 4 years in urban finance, project development, climate finance or related areas;
- Expected Knowledge: Knowledge of Green Finance, Project feasibility analysis, Investment planning, Public budget, Sustainable urban development.
- Languages: English (advanced);
- Excel and Office Suite (Advanced).
