Overview

The Junior People Operations Coordinator will support various People Innovation functions, including onboarding, employee relations, office and HR administration.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, has a keen eye for detail, and is eager to grow their career in Human Resources.

This role is open to candidates based in Lisbon, where we have our office space and the majority of our Portugal team is located.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for all Arkadian inquiries related to any HR policies and procedures.
  • Support with office operations, including maintaining office supplies and ensuring a smooth work environment.
  • Assist in onboarding of new hires to maximize immediate on the job impact.
  • Assist in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Take part in our events committee meetings and actively contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of internal celebrations and events that inspire people to think, laugh, share, and create memories.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employer branding activities plus employee recognition fulfilment.
  • Support People innovation team on any special project or key strategic initiative.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in Human Resources or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in both English and Portuguese.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Portuguese labor law and regulations is a plus.
