Job Description

This role supports programmatic activities for projects within the Forests and Land Use Program, assisting with direct programmatic management of technical projects. It involves supporting the Restoration, Food Systems, and Land Use teams in managing work plans, narrative reports, and donor interfaces. The analyst will also connect projects with the program's overall strategy, working closely with the program directorate.
Good To Have:
  • 2 years of relevant full-time professional experience.
  • Knowledge in data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Microsoft PowerApps, Sisense, Zoho Analytics, Reveal, Looker).
  • Post-graduation in Project Management.
Must Have:
  • Monitor programmatic activities on a project management platform (Asana).
  • Support the program's project portfolio management, focusing on knowledge management.
  • Track monthly project status meetings and ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  • Prepare project presentations for meetings with donors.
  • Perform due diligence on program project folders, with a focus on knowledge management.
  • Support the technical team in mapping project risks.
  • Improve project management processes for efficiency and resource optimization.
  • Assist the technical team in preparing narrative reports for projects.
  • Create management reports to support decision-making.
  • Develop and monitor strategy meetings for the Forests and Land Use team.
  • Apply Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL) skills to link project results with strategic outcomes.
  • Support the Forests and Land Use program directorate in managing team and strategy meetings.
  • Degree in Agronomy, Forest Engineering, Ecology, Biology, Public Policy Management, or related fields.
  • Reside in São Paulo (capital or metropolitan region).
  • Experience in project and process management.
  • Proficiency in Office package, good written and oral communication.
  • Advanced English.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Monday, Asana).
  • Knowledge in project management, innovation, partnerships, and multi-programmatic projects.
  • Reporting capability.

Job Highlight:

In this position, you will support the programmatic activities of projects within the Forests and Land Use Program (FLW) – assisting in the direct programmatic management of technical projects and supporting the Restoration, Food Systems, and Land Use teams in managing work plans, narrative reports, and interfacing with donors. You will also act as a link between projects and the program's strategy, working with the program directorate.

What you will do:

Area of responsibility – Programmatic Project Management (80%)

  • Monitoring programmatic activities on a project management platform (Asana);
  • Supporting the management of the Program's project portfolio with a focus on knowledge management;
  • Monitoring monthly project status meetings and the deadlines for each defined project deliverable;
  • Preparing project presentations for meetings with donors;
  • Performing due diligence on the program's project folders, with a focus on knowledge management;
  • Supporting the technical team in mapping project risks;
  • Improving project management processes, focusing on speed and resource optimization;
  • Assisting the technical team in preparing narrative reports for projects;
  • Creating management reports to support decision-making.

Area of responsibility – Strategic Management (20%)

  • Developing and monitoring strategy meetings for the Forests and Land Use team;
  • Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL) skills to connect project portfolio results with strategy outcomes.
  • Supporting the Forests and Land Use program directorate in managing team and strategy meetings.

What you will need:

  • Degree in Agronomy, Forest Engineering, Ecology, Biology, Public Policy Management, or related areas;
  • Reside in São Paulo - in the capital or metropolitan region;
  • Desirable 2 years of relevant full-time professional experience;
  • Experience with project and process management;
  • Technical skills: Office package proficiency, good written and oral communication;
  • Behavioral skills: proactivity, interpersonal communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines;
  • Advanced English;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Office Package (Excel and Word);
  • Experience with project management software (MS Project / Monday / Asana / etc);
  • Desirable to have knowledge in data visualization tools (PowerBI/ Microsoft PowerApps/ Sisense/ Zoho Analytics/ Reveal/ Looker);
  • Knowledge in project management, innovation, partnerships, and multi-programmatic projects;
  • Reporting capability;
  • Excellent time management;
  • Desirable post-graduation in Project Management;
