Junior Prop Design & Rig Artist (2D)

About The Role

As one of our Prop Design & Rig Artists, you will deliver effective and intuitive 2D assets for our Harmony productions. You will focus on matching the show design style for the episodic props and then adhering to show technical conventions for the rigs to deliver to the animation team.

You will be motivated, willing to learn, and open to receiving and responding positively to feedback.

The successful candidate will need to be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

Day To Day

• Take prop design from concept to production level design, then rigging for animation.
• Analyse prop & character designs and animatics for rigging requirements.
• Work with the Lead Prop Design & Rig Artists to create rigs for props and FX designs.
• Make sure assets maintain production quality and style as required.
• Develop character turnarounds, special poses and redresses.
• Boost rig performance with Master Controllers and other Harmony tools.
• Address feedback from Rigging Leads and Animation supervisor.

Must Have:

• Good knowledge of ToonBoom Harmony.
• Some design & animation experience.
• Great organisational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to take direction.
• A detail oriented team player who enjoys collaborating.
• A good attitude towards learning and a strong motivation to develop skills.
