Your work is consistent, concise, and clear, understanding audience needs and content flow. This entry or junior level role involves creating internal and client-facing documentation to empower users and provide direct access to answers, ensuring self-reliance and delight.
Must have:
  • Create internal and client-facing documentation
  • Clearly explain how to use products
  • Inform interactive courses
  • Work on existing documentation to replace with curated content
  • Potentially create technical documentation for software developers
  • Maintain internal resources (Acronym and Jargon Guide, video library, style guide)
  • Assist in producing client documentation (user guide articles, release notes, embedded application help)

Job Details

Reporting to the Head of the Technical Content team, you are a recent graduate with a degree in English or a related field of study or a technical writer with one to four years’ experience. You are inquisitive, collaborative, and are a quick learner. You are an excellent writer, and you love language and understand the importance of mapping out your content and presenting it simply and clearly. Ideally, you have Atlassian Confluence and markdown experience, but if not, you are eager to pick up these skills.

You are creative, organized, and are comfortable drafting content in working sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs), including product managers and software developers. You realize the value of great editing and work with your teammates to edit their content and to implement their feedback in your content.

Your work is consistent, concise, and clear—you know who your audience is and how to tell an engaging, impactul story. You understand hierarchy, taxonomy, content flow, and formatting so that users can easily find exactly what they need.

Principal Responsibilities

We are seeking an entry or junior level technical writer to create internal and client-facing documentation, which clearly explains how to use our products and informs the interactive courses we build. Our mission is to empower the people who serve our clients and to offer our clients direct access to answers so they may be self-reliant and delighted.

In addition to creating original product documentation, you will work on existing documentation to replace it with curated content, and you may create technical documentation for our software developers. You will help maintain internal resources, such as our Acronym and Jargon Guide, video library, and style guide.

You will assist in producing documentation for clients, including user guide articles, key product updates (release notes), and embedded application help (such as tool tips).

  • 0-4 years years experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast learner and collaborative team member
  • Three Cs: Consistent, Concise, Clear

Tools/Skills

  • Confluence experience a plus
  • Markdown a plus, with Tailwinds an added bonus
  • Ability to organize projects, with Jira exposure a plus
