Job Summary
ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a LAB Validation Engineer in Greenville, South Carolina. This role involves creating DVP&R for OEMs, working with external laboratories for material and thermo-mechanical testing, and validating various components and processes. Key responsibilities include conducting tests like flexural strength, impact, chemical resistance, paint adhesion, and thermo-mechanical tests on final product assemblies. The engineer will also be involved in fixture design, bonding processes, and glue failure mode analysis, requiring deep knowledge of industry norms and standards.
Must Have
- Creation of DVP&R for different OEMs
- Experience working with External laboratories for material, paint and thermo-mechanical testing
- Knowledge of Plastic Material testing (Flexural strength, Impact test, chemical resistance, Paint adhesion)
- Knowledge of Paint coating on plastic substrates testing (Adhesion test, steam jet test, humidity test, high and low temperatures, accelerated weathering, stone chip, chemical resistance, impact test)
- Experience with Thermo mechanical on final product assembly (Pull tests, Shaker test, Climatic tests, Infrared test, sunload test)
- Ability to design and validate Fixtures for Testings
- Knowledge of Bonding processes, Adhesive tape validations, Glue failure mode analysis
- Knowledge of Paint process and Materials (Different Resins for automotive industry)
- Knowledge of Laboratory equipments and internal method establishment for serial control
- Deep knowledge of “Norms & International Stds”
- Knowledge of different adhesives such as Tapes and glues
