Job Summary
The Analytical Chemistry Engineer prepares chemical analysis methodologies for semiconductor manufacturing and raw material quality control. This role involves supporting the development of advanced analytical chemistry technology, assisting factory engineers with event prevention, root cause clarification, and troubleshooting. The engineer will also drive lab systems engineering, including improving quality, compliance, and throughput, and manage monitoring, record-keeping, and reporting for lab equipment. Additionally, the position includes mentoring lab technicians, resolving product quality issues, ensuring lab preparedness, and collaborating with various functional teams to implement new processes and systems.
Must Have
- Prepare chemical analysis methodologies in a semiconductor fab environment and for incoming raw materials quality control.
- Support the development of advanced analytical chemistry technology.
- Employ chemical analysis expertise to assist factory engineers on event prevention, root cause clarification and troubleshooting.
- Drive lab systems engineering to improve lab quality, compliance, and throughput.
- Drive monitoring, record keeping, and reporting for lab equipment.
- Assist and provide mentorship of lab technicians.
- Resolve reported bugs and root causes issues that could impact product quality.
- Ensure lab preparedness including bench setup, procurement of test equipment and other lab materials.
- Collaborate with functional teams such as IT, security, and facilities.
- Develop and coordinate the design, development, and implementation of new ideas, processes, and systems for lab improvements.
- BS degree in Chemistry or related Engineering field.
- Experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Material Analysis.

- Employs chemical analysis expertise in assisting factory engineers on event prevention, root cause clarification and trouble shooting.
- Drives lab systems engineering including the development of solutions to improve lab quality, compliance, and throughput.
- Drives monitoring, record keeping, and reporting for lab equipment including maintenance, service, calibration, and testing activities.
- Assists and provides mentorship of lab technicians to drive lab execution including engineering analysis, instrumentation, data analysis, and result reporting.
- Resolves reported bugs and root causes issues that could impact product quality and experience.
- Ensures lab preparedness including bench setup, procurement of test equipment and other lab materials, and infrastructure requirements.
- Collaborates with functional teams such as IT, security, and facilities to maintain a successful lab.
- Develops and coordinates the design, development, and implementation of new ideas, processes, and systems for lab improvements needed to meet program deliverables.
Note: This role requires a regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities and over time may require shift work in line with operational demands.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Chemistry or related Engineering field.
- Experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Material Analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters/PhD in Chemistry or related Engineering field.
- Experience in chemical analysis instrument operation and method development such as ICP-MS, GC-MS, IC/LC-MS, or related.
